The Harry Potter movies are crap - mainly because they don't stick to the books whatsoever. I mean, seriously, how hard can it be to make the books film-worthy?!

Plus, they should've waited until the whole series came out before they decided to make it into a film. Idiots.
I hear ya man, I hear ya. GOF better be good, that's going to need a crap load of artistic value and cool details though.

It'll be so awesome if the Poltergeist (Peeves) becomes one of the most important characters, in terms of plot, in one of the last books.
Just like a slap round the face to the film makers who cut him.

The problem with the H. Potter series is that the actors are ageing a lot more quicker than JK is churning out the books, and i'm curious as to if the Producers and movie-pimpoids are asking her to hurry the books so they can hurry up and rake in some more cash.

If the Potter franchise suddenly deminishes, JK deserves it. She sold out, bigeous timeous, just to earn some more cash, which she doesn't really need. If a big Hollywood exec came up to me and started saying to me "Hey, we'll turn your ideas into a big-ass film, whaddaya say?" i'd not only ask that they stick to the exact plot, with every tiny character involved, but i'd ask for them to do an animated version, like 'Akira' or 'Spirited Away'.

That way you're not worrying about actors being wanktards and ruining the film or budget costs on special effects and actors payment.

They're probably asking Rowling to crank out another book to early, with their one movie a year standards the last book will probably be released along with the last movie, with all the time she'll wanna put in book 7.

She'd tell them to piss off. She paid her publisher back their advance just so she could have as long as she wanted on book 5.

But wasn't book 6 supposed to come out in may or june or something?

Ya, but if shes takes the year off, which J K would prabably do, it would take about 2 years write and publish the book, and for promotional purposes the film guys would probably get the book realeased very close to the movie

Saw is another great movie. It was shot in only 16 days and the actors didn't rehearse once! Has anyone else seen it?

'Saw' could've been so much better and, to me at least, is a big disappointment.

You can tell the actors didn't rehearse once, though.

You're right, the actors didn't rehearse at all, what you saw them doing was the rehearsal. They only had 16 days to film which to me makes it a good film for the time they had to film. Yes it could of been better but I still liked it.

Saw Hitchikers the other day.

***SPOILER***

Good on the whole; I'll even accept the regeneration of Earth in the end as at least it explains how it reappeared in the fourth book (with the exception of the return of the dolphins). But I'll never forgive them for getting Arthur and Trillian together. Arthur's meant to be the perpetual loser who never gets together with the love of his life but ends up procreating with her without his knowledge. But on the plus side, the opening scene with the dolphin choir was fantastic.

They showed a preview for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I think it looks great. Johnny Depp looks way more like how I imagine Willy Wonka than Gene Wilder ever did.

Just realised that it's called Charlie atCF, not Willy atCF. That's a turn up for the books, a return to the original name.

I thought that the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy was great and I really liked the dolphin song as well.

I think Star Wars: ROTS was really good (helluva lot better than the first 2, I didn't mind them but ROTS was still better). I urge anyone who hasn't seen it to see it now.

Agreed, I take back all those negative words I used in the "Star Wars" thread. I should always hold my judgement on something until I experience it. This one redeems the second trilogy.

Yeah.
Grievous was pretty shite thought. Not like his glorious Star Wars Lego: The VideoGame counterpart. :-P
Advertisment: My little brothers got it, and it rocks. Get it for your little bros, and pretend its for them, but then steal it.

I think the worst movie ever done is...(This'll probably get a lot of people annoyed)...
Apocalypse Now.
Goddamn did that bore me. To be fair though, I was in a room with 6 of my mates after coming back from paint balling and MacDonalds, so I wasnt really paying attention to it much.
Oh Simon and I ripped the piss out of it till they threatened to send us out of the room...

Saw Ep3 last night. Pretty good but you're right about Grievous. Anyone with four arms should be able to handle a light saber so much better. How the heck could Obiwan block four sabres at once?

Plenty more to complain about but I can't be bothered.

I will say that Palpatine was cool, especially in that scene in the opera/circus/whatever it was. For the first time Anakin's fall made sense and the fact that "he still has some good in him" which always seemed a bit crap to me in ep6.

ROTS really shows that the Star Wars saga rots before us. Not only was Anakin as gullible as a lemming on crack, Jarjar didn't die. I've seen it quite a few times now, and each time I see it, it becomes increasingly stupid.

Geek: The Movie. I mean, it's D&D in the future, for Christs sake.

I was extremely dissapointed that Jar Jar was SHOWN in a scene, AND they didnt kill him.
(what happens to him in between the movies 3 and 4 by the way?)

Yeah, did you notice that Grievous only used 2 lightsabers at a time?
He just spun the other two over his head! :-P
I was expecting a spectacular battle...but he has a cough, gets his hands chopped off, and drives away.
Now THATS manly.

R2-D2s abilities rocked though. Shame he miraculously loses them...
And they wipe C3-POs memory for no reason! haha. That almost makes up for the lack of Jar Jar death...

What is the difference between Grievous in the film and in the Lego version?!

First, I saw it because it was finishing the Star Wars series. Secondly, I viewed it with friends. Then, I saw it once again with my family. It doesn't mean I enjoyed it.

Obi Wan kicks Grievous' ass because he didn't have the force to help guide the lightsabres, that's what I think anyway...

p.s Has anyone seen The Thing, I really want to see it and I just wanted to know if it was any good.
