Same. It's bumming me out. Christmas is the only time I really want snow, but we're not going to get any until afterwards. Winters here are actually pretty brutal, but it doesn't even start until January.

I've been enjoying the nice summer weather here in Nevada this morning. I'm in a T shirt.

Yay, I got to open all of my Christmas presents. I got Rayman Origins (yay!), the fifth season of the Simpsons, some money (a sum of around 200€) and my new headphones, Sony MDR-XB500's. Pretty awesome I think.

I also got the ninth season of Frasier, but sadly, it doesn't have Finnish subtitles, only English for the hearing impaired or something. But it's still nice.

I gave my mum a Twin Peaks DVD box that has all the episodes plus a bunch of extra material. She was really happy until we noticed that half of the extra material was missing. That was a bummer. We'll have to go to the store I bought it from to get another copy of it with everything in it.

Other than that, my Christmas has been really nice. Not as nice as last year, but really nice anyways! Merry Christmas to all of you (again)!

And when it does snow. Everyone thinks it's the end of the world. Airports shut down and we run out of food.

And the odd power cut.

Airports shut for a good reason though.

Anyway, I decided to take a picture of this years Tree. I've got to say I think it looks pretty impressive.

I'm about to head off to my aunt's for Christmas lunch.

I'm wearing a stupid Christmas tie with a shirt and will be donning a Santa hat if I can find one. I'll have to take a picture and post it here. I look like a fucking huge dork.

Merry Christmas even more from the UK. We don't have any decorations up at home, so here's the tree in our office.

I did all my Christmas shopping in two hours today. Now I'm gonna have a shower and do the wrapping then go to bed late and probably be fucking tired all through tomorrow. C'est la vie.

EDIT: I mean have a shower AND THEN do the wrapping, not attempt to combine them into a single event.

I dragged myself out of bed at around midday. I got no presents, obviously.

I will be spending the day cleaning and child-proofing my home, so that my sister and niece (who are literally the only members of my family currently in the same state/country as me) can come for dinner.

On the plus side, my new biosphere seems to be surviving. I'll post pictures when the water clears.

Yesterday I went to my best friend's family and exchanged some gifts (gave them Christmas cake, a tin of biscuits and Portal 2, got a book about cycling and some flaked truffles), had dinner with them, got drunk, played board games with them for the entire evening while listening to crappy Christmas songs, watched Bill Bailey, then nearly crashed while trying to cycle the 2 miles home at 1 am. Now I've been asleep for 10 hours and I'm hungover. lol

And that's what Christmas is about. I'm liking this mild weather though.

Tim Minchin is epic.

I got a Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon CD, a little ghost keyring that makes a noise when you press a button, and I have a Rock Band 3 keyboard headed my way.
Here's a song that I found amusing recently. Not many people would have heard it here.

Ironically enough, Melbourne had a White Christmas. Of sorts.

These are actual hail stones that fell here today:

Also, the guy in this video is really annoying, so I wouldn't suggest watching the whole thing. But jump ahead to see how heavy the hail is and you'll be impressed.

Awesome haul this year, can't freaking wait for dinner. Merry Christmas everyone!

After watching the video Strike Witch (I believe) posted about the air swimmers on Bits and pieces, and how much in awe I was about it, my brother from another mother, gem that he is, picked the shark one up for me... now all I need is a bit of helium

My other brother who shares my mother bought me AC: Revelations, now the story can be tied up for me. Just as soon as ballbag Dix throws back Brotherhood so I cans finish it?

Other gifts include a washbag, clothes, sudoku puzzle (present of the day) book, money and a tin o' roses. I'm currently stuffed to the hilt with rubbish and I'm still looking forward to dinner, although we're having it stupidly early this year :P

Merry Christmas from Norn Iron, you beautiful fuckers

I received an HP monitor, Logitech speakers, Halo Anniversary, Rayman Origins, 4000 MS Points, and some money. I will be bringing back the monitor to Best Buy tomorrow since the HDMI port isn't working and I might have to pick out a new model altogether. =/

Merry Christmas, everybody!

I don't think I will ever stop finding the name Cluj funny.

Snuck upstairs while family are watching Absolutely Fabulous. Was determined to spend quality time with family and leave computer alone. Achieved former with flying colours (zero arguments, depite playing two rounds of Scattergories), breifly failed on latter. Will go back downstairs shortly. Can't speak in full sentences.

Also became physically excited by a selection of cheeses. It's darn good to be British.

Standout presents were an iPod nano, a couple of HP Lovecraft anthologies and a nice-looking pair of Sennheiser cans.

Was also relieved that The Vegans (collective term for my sister and her androgynous life-partner) considered 'May contain milk' worth the risk. My gifts were well-recieved by all, it seems.

Toodle-pip, y'all! I have to go consume my weight in honey roasted peanuts.

A Suicine model kit so far from my friends, other presents pending.
i keep reading that as 'Suicide model kit'. fuck my eyes.

Merry Christmas from over this way. Pretty quiet day my end, but that’s fine by me.
i love quiet Christmases. mine are always quite busy.

Also became physically excited by a selection of cheeses. It's darn good to be British.
you know, i still haven't had any of our cheeses. it's sacrilege.

I got two pocket watches. Two!
i was about to say "i want one" when i remembered i already own one. all this time i've been taking it for granted, for some reason. glad i've finally realised i actually fucking own one, i'm ashamed i even forgot about it. in fact, i'm going to slap myself right now.

anyway, i got some much-needed socks, which i'm glad to receive, a book of short horror stories which i can't wait to get stuck into, two bottles of Malibu seeing as my parents and a mate both got one for me, a decent pair of sturdy boots/shoes from my grandparents, they have fur inside to keep my little toesies warm, and a ring from my parents which i fucking love.

i've had a great Christmas. woke up, did the unwrapping-presents-shindig, didn't bother going down the pub for a Christmas drink this year as i couldn't be arsed, had Christmas dinner, went to my uncles to drop their presents off, headed around to my grandparents to do the same, spent some time with them and then went home. only just got back.
