I am allowed my own opinion. If I think Munch is a brainless git, then thats what I think. No point argueing. End of story. Bye bye, see ya later.
In other words, you've lost the argument and now you're trying to abandon it as quickly as possible so you don't look stupid.

Listen sunshine, don't talk back to me. I said that because it is pointless to the defend the worst animated game character ever created!

Munch is coo' .
I would have liked Munch if it weren't for his nature. He acts like a baby, which sort of gets to me. However, probably the biggest reason I hate Munch is because of the move to XBox. I don't have an XBox, and I'm not going to buy one because the of the stupid controler. Besides, there aren't any games on the XBox that appeal to me.

1) As Strongbad would say - DELETED!!
2) Keep petty infighting to PMs as LV (ironically) pointed out at some stage in that exchange.
3) Hating the Xbox is no reason to hate a game or (more importantly) the character within. Which begs the greater question of why you see fit to hate Munch with such a passion if you don't own the game.

Hmm... well, I've had my say about Munch so no point in me posting in this thread anymore.

I know, but even the thread was pretty pointless when it was created. "I hate hate Munch, do you?" You have to admit that's an incredibly asinine foundation for a topic. Besides, exactly what 'good' converstation can be made at this point without a flame war errupting?

Um, let me think: stepped into an obviously there Scrab trap, made friends with fuzzles, helped Abe, tried to take down Vykkers Labs and failed, got his lungs chopped out as a result, and got them delivered to Lady Margeret.
That was the bad ending. All the games had one.

Except for Stranger.

And by default, the story is meant to continue from good endings, not bad ones. So Munch's bad ending doesn't count.

Too true! How come Munch is a brainless git? Why does he act like a baby?
The reason Munch acts like a baby is because there is no one to care for him, no one to look after him, he's lost something very dear to him, and he does try his best to repopulate the Gabbits. Anyway, that 'Scrab' trap is supposed to be for Munch, tricking him into thinking another Gabbit is still alive. Yeah, you can have your opinion, but you'd better watch what you say about Munch, there are some strong Munch lovers out there, and they'll get narked with you, like I am!

Isn't that the same thing you said about the Gamecube when
people insult it. Let the guy have his say, though he does
not have to be rude about Munch. Being rude is why some people
don't like others.

He is also only 2 years old, and we don't know how long he was alone for. That might go someway into explaining it.

And on the topic of endings, despite messing up the storyline a little, what effect would continuing your own story onto the next game have on the series? If the bad endings did not result in Abe's death. I'm thinking of KOTOR II, where questions are asked and your answers tell the game how you finished KOTOR I.

My theory is that the traps are programmed to respond to the calls of many animals. The Vykkers would have kept the Gabbit call just in case another one showed up; which would be particularly valuable on the lung market.

There's only one thing that annoys me about Munch's Oddysee, and it's not even Munch, it's just the game. I just find the 'sproing' sound that Munch makes whenever he hops pretty weird. Talk about unrealistic.

Unrealistic? There are things in that game that are way more unrealistic than a sproing noise from munhc's hopping.

Yeah; Abe has far too large a part in the game. Munch just seems a bit like his handicapped* sidekick who he has to take care of.

He is referring to Munch's disabilities on land: being slow and unable to jump without the wheelchair.

In the original storyline he needed the wheelchair (and Abe to push him) because the trap broke his leg.

Actually I was making a reference to the sort of story where someone has to take care of a mentally/physically handicapped brother/friend. Rainman comes to mind but there have been plenty of movies and books with that theme.

My point being; Munch's Oddysee should have been about Munch but it ended up being Abe's game with this awkward sidekick who can't do all that much in the levels that didn't involve swimming or craning.

note: I actually like Munch and the game. I'm just making the point that it should have been different.

That's not particularly accurate. There's no Extinction Gene. I tried Googling the term, but apparently it only appears on the X-Men. I think you mean telomeres, which are genetic codes, but they aren't genes. I'd love to talk biology, but I don't see the relevence.

Since the Gabbits all spawn together, it makes sense that the eggs would already be fertilised. If Gabbits are like fish, then the females lay eggs which the males then fertilise while they're in the water. Theoretically, it would make sense that the Vykkers could snatch them before they are fertilised, but then in the wild that would disturb the other spawning Gabbits, so the Vykkers would have to wait until everything was finished.

Alternatively, the Vykkers capture the females before they've laid their eggs, so like chickens' eggs they wouldn't be fertilised.
I hear yer..Max

As Abe said there are lots of eggs in that can. He will be one busy gabbit to think it. I would not think that can would contain eggs of one female gabbit. How many eggs where there? I can't remember.

This does help me think of what Exodus is going to be like. Control a horde of gabbits to take down the industrulists. Or will Munch have to rescue his captive siblings before they get turned into tasty treats.

There was 150 eggs inside the can of Gabiar.

In my thoughts, I always thought that since the last can of Gabiar was intended for food, the eggs would not be fertile, for I would not want to find that my stomach gave birth to 150 Gabbit eggs.

So my thoughts of the plot on Munch's Exoddus would have to be based off of the movie. If OWI makes Munch's Oddysee into a film, and got the orginal plot of MO into a film, the ME would be the sequel of the movie, not the game. And if my theories corresponde, ME would be about Munch trying to get to Ma'Spa. He would have to a hold on the can, but have to avoid or defeat Searexes, Vykkers who are trying to capture him, and the others in his way. And maybe try to free some critters on the way to give him comfort. And maybe even return to the Roids.

Yeah, that was sort of a long plot. But it was worth thinking about it.

As I am almost positive I said before, as the eggs were being refridgerated, were they fertilised (which I am sure they are) they would not develop.

Also, the eggs may be like seeds, or the eggs of other aquatic animals in that they only develop when they are in the water, or else have already developed, and will only hatch when they come into contact with the water.

Seeing as Gabbiar is referencing caviar; I doubt they would be fertilised. Caviar is obtained by removing the ovaries from female fish.

:
Commercial caviar production normally involves stunning the fish (usually with a club to the head) and extracting the ovaries, although a number of farmers are experimenting with surgical removal of the roe from live sturgeon, allowing the females to produce more eggs during their lifespans.
