Right, wait, wait. I have a question building on one that was asked before about the Free-Fire Zone.
Are there negative repercussions for shooting/beating to death/blowing up/otherwise killing a slave Mudokon in the facilities? Of course logic says that there would be, since Sligs are, as the manual says, very trigger-happy, but if all the slaves were shot there'd be no one to run the facility. On the other hand, it really isn't apparent in the games or anything.

It IS called a desert, Slaveless.
A dry mountain range wouldn't be hot, it would be rather cold, and I can't see Abe, Scrabs or Elum coping so well with that weather and oxygen levels with no fur or specialised lungs or anything that we know of. Plus there are cacti, and I know of none that live at high altitudes, only ones living in hot deserts. So I believe it is really a desert and not just a dry mountain range.
I think we'd have been told if it was a mountain range anyway, rather than being told it was a desert. These circumstances aren't exactly common in our world either, so I doubt it would be such a secluded sort of habitat used in the game.

@Skillya: Sligs, unless possessed, will not beat a Mudokon to death. Otherwise, they shoot Mudokons that are trying to escape, which is pretty much their job. So there'd only be repurcussions for killing Mudokons without just cause. The Sligs don't want to break these rules, for fear of being sent back to mother for a nice, tasty pot...well, to go into the pot.

A desert is defined as a dry and therefore very barren landscape. This makes Antarctica the largest desert, and increases what you can call a desert. I would say that a dry mountain range is a desert. After all, the Atlas mountains are deserts.

But Scrabania is definately a hot desert, not a frozen tundra.

Exactly, so I don't see what the problem is.

It certainly has altitude, though, that's for sure.

im not sure weather or not its a glitch, but i have seen sligs in AO beat a mud to death. youve gotta sit on the same screen for quite some time to see it happen though..

i seem to remember seeing a sign in AO saying "employees caught talking to other employees will be shot on sight" or something to that effect, so id assume that the mud slaves will be killed if theyr caught doing basically anything besides their job, and beaten whenever a slig feels like it.

heres two questions;

1: are slig's voices altered by their masks? it sure sounds like it to me..

2: i was replaying AO the other day and noticed that the muds in monsaic lines are the same color as Abe. now, i remember reading an Ask Alf about why Abe is blue, and he said its because hes the saviour of the mud race.. then, why are the ones in Monsaic lines the same color?

Actually, the concept is really that a Mudokon must be caught talking to other Mudokons or talking and/or following a Mudokon who isn't suppose to be there, in order for Sligs to have the privildge to shoot a Mudokon.

What you had was a glitch. It is just like the glitch where Sligs die of being slapped.

1. We haven't seen a Slig without his mask and speaking in gameplay, so I couldn't say. But I guess their voice is muffled by the mask, so maybe.

2. I have a claim that Mudokons with blue skin are Mudokons that have been granted further powers through birth or meditation. I guess the specifics for Abe is that he was born with blue skin and the others probably haven't. But I don't really know. It is on the FAQ.

i had a feeling it was a glitch, but i figured id mention it anyway.

ive read through the entire FAQ, and it never said anything about other muds having blue skin. only Abe.

i like your idea of muds changing colors due to higher spiritual power or whatnot. it would also explain why Abe can possess even though he never had much of a chance to train this ability due to being a slave his entire life

1. I think blue skin is a natural, if rare, mudokon skin colouration.

2. Green mudokons don't register well in Monsaic Lines, and if you don't see the slingshot-toting guard that you're running towards, well, we know how that ends.

There are some green Mudokons in Monsasic Lines. They are the ones that are meditating, while the blue ones are with sling shots.

What are the screenshots on the back of the Munch's Oddysee box? Are they prototype screenshots, graphics promotion shots or what?

If this is in the wrong section, someone please move it.

Anyway, I have a question. Everyone knows that funny sound that plays while Abe chants, right? Well...I've been thinking...since chanting does mean to say a phrase over and over, is Abe making those weird noises? Or do the blue lights make the noise?

Well I got another question, in the gabbier acution there are wannabes with 1.5 million moolah. However FlubCo. Eecutive is a glockstar and he only has
1 million moolah. So shouldnt the wannabes be glockstars?

The concept of the auction is very vague, since it was made at the last minute. So I would guess there is many faults in the auction, like the hand clapping thing. But on the other hand, it was just that specific wannabe Glukkon that had that much moolah. The others had what, 600,000 moolah? So no, not really. The only explamation I could have for you about the FlubCo. CEO Glukkon could have spent a lot of moolah and his salary date to disturbte is coming.

The Glokstars are probably smart enough to carry less money that the Wannabes, but Wannabes are too careless to work out how much money they should carry with them. Or something like that.

A suggestion: the Glockstar in charge of Flub Fuels also heads other companies/facilities, but while he’s in the FlubCo Executive Office, he only has access to that company’s funds. The Wanna Bes brought their entire investments with them to the Gabbiar Auction.

I'd hate to break into the whole reproduction thing, but I have a question that just occured to me. How do Sligs' pants work? Are they built to move around on their own? I don't see how the little slig tail can control these robotic legs. Maybe wires attach to the tail and into the slig's body, into the muscles so that the slig can control it?

Ok, maybe that last question didn't make sense, but I still want to know how this works.

Well, it seems like you got a pretty good idea of how it work. Also, there may be buttons on the inside of the pants that make it move forward, backwards, turn, and stuff like that...

But I'm not sure if it has been released how the pants work. I think it may be one of those unanswerable questions.

It has not been released. There are several theories, including:

1. That the tail controls the legs.
2. That the wires to the mask somehow send messages from the head.
3. That the legs have sensors that can see pulses in the nerves in the slig-bottom.

Do a search and you'll find all the discussions about them.
