Oh ok, so he still has a major impact, that's good
That's what I was worried about, him destroying Rapture farms, and there's like a million more, so he's realy done nothing :K
And BTW, how does OW get it's food now? I presume they just opned up more plants?

Rupture, it's RUpture.

Well, it's not the only Rupture Farms, it's not the only food corporation, and even then, processed food does not have to have a monopoly on the entire diet of all non-native species.

Didn't think this diserved it's own thread:
I was looking through wikipedia, trying to find out the exact spelling of Rapture farms, so I could get a pick (Turns out I spelled it right, there were just so few of them), and found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oddworld:_Abe%27s_Oddysee
Now look at the Synopisis, it calls Raptures farms, Rapturefamrs1029, WTF, does that mean there are more Rapturefarms, that they're just one in a huge chain of Rapturefarms, that Abe shut down one, and but that's only one in a million?
Or is it it's code or something, and 1029 means RaptureFarms, or is it just some mistake?
I think it's just the technical name of a section of Rupture Farms and not all the factory. Abe was born in Rupture Farms 1029. There is also a number for SoulStorm Brewery, but I don't remember it.

RuptureFarms is UpperCamelCase (no space between the words)

All Magog Cartel factories seem to have their own numerical identify. We know of RuptureFarms 1029, SoulStorm Brewery 401, Sloghut 1027, and Sloghut 2813. How these numbers are assigned isn’t known. They could be chronological (the first factory was 1, etc.), but then that means Sloghut 1027 was built before our RuptureFarms, but shares an almost identical design with Sloghut 2813, which must have been quite a bit later. This is possible, but it doesn’t seem right.

Question: what is a SeaRex? Are SeaRex that sort of pelicans at the beginning of MO?

Max: Location, perhaps? Grid reference?

AIN: The sea rex is a great marine carnivore not dissimilar to the whale Basilosaurus. This is SeaRex

How come there are no pictures online?

The SeaRex is a huge aquatic creature... good pictures can be found in the Art Of book or on the Movies of Oddworld DVD

No, it never appeared in the game, it's one of the many things that didn't make it.

No. It was designed for MO initially to be included in the game’s brand new swim gameplay, but then its contract was scaled down so it would appear only in an FMV. The FMV was made and released in an early trailer, but not included in the game. It’s viewable on the Movies of Oddworld DVD.

Pelican? What thing at the start of MO looks like a pelican?

Unlike RuptureFarms, ‘Sea Rex’ is not CamelCase.

BM: If it’s grid reference–related, then it’s not according to any traditional grid reference that might be applied to the Oddworld Map. A less regular location system, like a postcode, also seems unlikely given the close proximity of the two Sloghuts. What it might just be is that the numbers are recycled if older factories are destroyed. For example, AzGasCo Refinery 1027 might have ceased to be between the construction of Daily Deception Distribution Center 2805 and what would otherwise have been Sloghut 2806.

I thought that a pelican or simply a seagull, could live near Oddworld's oceans.

Lusks are marauders. That’s all we know. That one concept image in the book is literally the complete extent of our knowledge.

Though there is some descriptive text written too, and I assume they're somewhat intelligent, being they're referred to as a 'race' rather than animal/species.

Ok, we know just a few things about Luskan Marauder. But I have a new question anyway . And I think it's a strange and complicated question. When Abe enters a door, how can he reach another area passing, for example, a lot of ravines and unreachable places? What is there among two doors? What's the mechanism that leads Abe from a door to another door?

It's a mechanism, that's just it, it's part of the game, and inside the doors is probably a hallway or a stairway of some sort. Nothing to it.

As for the pelicans, I believe he is talking about the toucan-like birds you see in SW in the sniper forest.

Personally, I think you may have looked at the wrong thing. The SeaRex and the Color Birds were on the same, if not adjacent, pages. The SeaRex is the black and white picture of a creature with a huge tail that covers the majority of the body, a sort of rib area, and a eye-less head with rows of teeth sticking out. The Color Birds are the birds that may resemble a cross between a seagull, a peligun, and a toucan.

I don't know. I think Slaveless misunderstood me. Anyway I read in that page of the artbook the word "SeaRex", and in that page there is an image of a bird (it looks like a seagull). So I asked my first question about SeaRex.

AIN, I blame Hulaabeo for making them known as Color Birds. As best I can tell with Google searching, he was the first Forum member to call them that.

No, I'm saying you are misunderstanding what is being said on the page. Go to page 226 (the page you are referring to) and you will find pictures of these said seagulls, a Meetle (which should look a little like a rabbit crossed with a guinea pig), and Sea Rex, which I have already described.
:

You said you read the page and saw the word Sea Rex, right? Now, look on the picture of the creature that teeth and appears to be swimming (not flying, not standing still). This should be the most bottom picture on the page. There should be on the picture the word Sea Rex. That is a Sea Rex.
