That being said, the more you shave the quicker it grows back, you can always keep trimming it loads then let it grow next week over half term? It shouldn't take more than three or four days to get that kind of length at your age.

I shave it every month or so, and it does grow back a little thicker each time. But I feel obliged to give the same statement that I give to everybody who brings up the "Shaving --> Moustache" line.
If I kept shaving it, I would not have a moustache at all.
It does grow back quickly. But that's not the point. The point is that I have a moustache because I enjoy having a moustache. Also, it's bloody freezing, and my mouth genuinely gets cold without it.

I say keep it. My mustache came in thin and took forever to fill out [and I'm still not entirely happy with it], so yours probably will too. Also, make sure to wash it with shampoo and not a bar of soap when you're in the shower as the soap will actually start to dry the skin out and slow down growth.

I already comb it. If I start shampooing it I may as well give it a name. It's better treatment than I give my cat.
I've had lip hair of some variety since about 14. I am currently in the midstages of the "Filling out/Spreading" period. But that's the first grower's tip I've recieved, so thanks for that.

You know the whole 'shave more and it comes back quicker and thicker' is bullshit, right? Or so I've read anyway.

No idea. I already chew off the bits that stick in my mouth. Probably makes me look like a retard, but it's strangely satisfying. And compulsive. *Chews*
I daresay there is some truth to the theory, at my age at least, not because the act of shaving makes it grow faster, but because it resets the average hair length so newly developed follicles have a chance to stay level and fill in gaps. So it makes it
look thicker.
My past few shaves have revealed my sideburns encroaching forwards across my cheeks, so I may be able to grow triangular muttonchops by the end of the year.
Now, where's my pipe?
