I'm listening to Joe play Persona 3. It's an interesting experience.
See, Joe likes RPGs, but he has a thing where he does everything in his power to prevent himself from losing a fight, so he'll grossly overlevel his party for every bossfight until it's laughably easy.
However, in Persona the combat system is full of spells and abilities that can charm or instant-kill your party with a 25% accuracy, so there's a 1/4 chance during the tougher bossfights that your overleveled characters might get fucked over. See, when that happens to me I think it's cool, so I will re-spec my party to block the light or dark instant-death spells or whatever, however:
Joe really really really hates luck-based mechanics. He views them all as being bad game design and artificial difficulty. So when a floor boss charmed his entire party with a Sexy Dance skill:

[24/05/2013 3:12:41 PM] Hime Hime: you're so grumpy when things don't go your way
[24/05/2013 3:13:01 PM] Joe: No, there should be a rule against all your party succumbing to one status effect at once
[24/05/2013 3:13:04 PM] Joe: If Pokemon has it...
[24/05/2013 3:13:07 PM] Hime Hime: why?
[24/05/2013 3:13:11 PM] Joe: UM
[24/05/2013 3:13:16 PM] Joe: BECAUSE IT RUINS THE GAME
[24/05/2013 3:13:21 PM] Joe: Boss casts instant die
[24/05/2013 3:13:23 PM] Joe: Everyone dies
[24/05/2013 3:13:24 PM] Joe: Wow
[24/05/2013 3:13:25 PM] Joe: How fun
[24/05/2013 3:13:37 PM] Joe: I really enjoy playing a game where I survive purely due to luck
[24/05/2013 3:13:54 PM] Joe: You can't defend this

He can get a bit twitchy.
But it's fun.
