True, I sometimes can't interpret jokes myself. It's really difficult on the net at times, unless someone puts a LOL or j/k or a

after it. If I didn't realize it was a joke (i.e. I know we've never discussed such), then I might have fallen in also.

Well so ok it was a joke. I didn't know that. You English have much more complex jokes than the Russians. Not only is it about playing with words but it's about playing with meanings too so it all gets confusing.

So ok it's not closing, I retract my statements. Maybe when steef comes out we will have a more interesting forum right here, and hopefully oddlympics won't be too plagued with newbies that refuse to read rules before posting.

Exactly, me and Max don't really get along at all, but I still said I would vote for him. This is because I know that out of everyone who is here, he can do the job best.

This is exactly an example of what not to do. Dont vote for your friends people. Vote for the person who deserves the position, and is the best suited for the job. Dont expect people to vote for you just because you voted for them...Please dont think Im being harsh, I just dont like to see this happen.

For some reason that Newsticker thing that Reece had and now Death has plays real havoc with my browser. It comes up with a message to install Microsoft Virtual Machine, and then when I try to install it, it won't let me. And if I cancel the error, it kicks me out of the browser window (but luckily doesn't close IE).

Anyone know why that might be happening?

Actually, a company called Riada started it, by making a little wizard that could make LED style java tickers. The only website I know of that hosts one of these is www.Aliens.com, the dialup provider. And because I can't be bothered to upload my own .class file I just use theirs.

Any thread I visit with the Newsticker takes five minutes to load. It also freezes the browser window until that time is up, and then suddenly acts normal.

Actually when I cancel the "Java Virtual Machine" dialogue box, the IE window stays open and I can still see the newstickers. Hmmm....

Oddguy I know, but I didnt care to give him the credit for it.

Trust me I know my history around here.

Yeah, I took down my ticker earlier than expected. It was buggin' me and others, so I just got rid of it.
