You go by the fact that it's a free patch on saying that it's not a remake? How does this work? The game is receiving an overhaul to make it high definition. That's why it's called a HD remake. Be thankful that it is free, that's not something you should be whining about.
im by no means whining, i was just expecting them to at least do more to justify the "remake" title, a patch and new models is not a remake. if its using the exact same game then its not a remake, its simply an update.

It's not a remake, it's a remastering. Same game, better assets. Never been promoted as anything different.

Its not going to be a minor patch, at that. I wouldnt be surprised if we had to download the entire game from scratch.

The fact that it's a patch is only relevant in that you won't need to pay for it again. So stop complaining.

Actually Nowtun, I sort of agree with you - MO actually needs to be entirely remade from the ground up rather than patched since it was such a rushed job to start with.

On the other hand it is still nice that they're at least making it look a bit better, and doing that at no extra cost to those who own the PC port of the game already - Which is generous. And I think I'd rather they carried on with what that and eventually spend their time making new Oddworld titles rather than a full remake of Munch.

The colour is wrong, paramites should be whiter and actually stockier I think...#

It would be very good if they made a few different models for each different creature so not every mudokon, slig and scrab looked exactly the same, it makes groups of models look so much better.

Besides the skin, the muscles need to be far more defined, that's my only real qualm about the model, nothing else bothers me very much.

It's not complaining it's pointing out problems I see so that they might take it as a constructive criticism, you're all too happy to just say everything they toss out is amazing but I'm not, why make something 95% good when you can make it %100 fantastic?

He means because the original has protruding vains and has an increased and more defined muscular mass. Both of which help it to appear much more life-like. But as previously quoted by Max and no doubt other members the new Paramite is an HD update of a 10 year old model which also had many technical hindrances during its production due to the existing Munchs oddysee game engine and its technical restraints.

Ps: I agree the new model isnt exactly brillant but compared to the model used in the original Munch game its sexy.

Well considering they all contain the same things then i have no idea what the fuck your on about lol. I dont wanna sound like im taking the piss here but your aware they're both in different positions so we cant see the whole Paramite in the new model right?

And last time i checked muscle certainly made up a part of a living creatures anatomy :-/

the muscles defenately need to be more defined but maybe theyre (JAW) being hindered by the poly count on this one? perhaps we'll see a more accurate model for abe HD

Apparently they need to render quite a few of these at once, so that's probably is why they can't add loads of detail. Hopefully in AOHD they will be able to go nuts because the most on-screen at once is 3 if I recall correctly.
