I never actually noticed it until Nate pointed it out. Possibly because when I notice Kastere uses 'fucking', it's never a verb.

Maybe, because he's 'lyrium addled,' he has gained side effects which allowed him to work with enchanting and possibly has more control of magic than he let on knew.
