EDIT: Aw, come on. It used to be more fun when we were leading an off-topic conversation on the sidelines, now we're just naming random countries and our associations with them.
Yes. Well, you can't really tell at first, but when you're almost quadrilingual, it gets difficult.
I only know how to say Good Evening in Polish. That's it.
Oh, and I forgot. I know a few words in Dutch. But I still can't form sentences beside "Where is something" or "What is something" or "When is something" or "Who is someone". And I can tell the time and date.
Yeah, that's the problem. I'm having the worst sorts of problems with Russian, I mean, I understand it well, but I have a feeling I have the most awful accent, and sometimes I can't remember simple words...THOUGH I REMEMBER THEM IN OTHER LANGUAGES! That is so frustrating. Forgetting my native language........................
And what really gets my goat is that my friend who's been here for just as long as I have and is also Russian, and she has no accent at all and has no problems speaking.
That is so weird because I have the same problem! I forget some of the simplest words in Polish and I feel that I don't know it as well as I used to. It really bugs me.
And wow, we really kinda started spamming the crap out of this topic, didn't we?
Still, you know what? I think that we should have a thread that had the properties of a normal conversation, where we aren't required to stay on topic and when the discussion can go any way it has to. But that would immediately be closed.
