Hobo was provoked in this thread. He responded with something that was obviously an intentional cheap shot. Intentional, because he was clearly not going for a mature, intellectual argument, meaning everyone should have taken it as a light-hearted, albeit spiteful, retort. We've have plenty of members do this in the past: Jacob, DI, and Melvin, just to name a few. They were never an issue, because for as many people that became whiney bitches whenever these veteran members said anything remotely "cruel" or "callous," there were even more members that found the humor in their meaningless jabs (even the so-called "victims" at some points). Christ, if Hobo pisses you off, ignore him.
Whatever. I don't even care about the Hobo situation. I'm not a babysitter, although sometimes I wonder. What I still do care about, however, is all of this Wired business.
As for Wired, the situation is completely different from a single person making a multi. This was several staff and regular members working on a practical joke as a planned, isolated incident with consent of administration ahead of time. That's the difference. Of course, I'm the administration that gave consent, and I'll admit, if I had thought that you guys would take this so badly, I never would have participated or even allowed it to occur. However, I honestly had no idea everyone was going to go all emo prude over the whole thing.
Needless to say, an incident like this will never be allowed again, simply because some of you obviously aren't able to step back and laugh at the situation.
And honestly, if I were in your position, I would be laughing. At the joke. Because it was a joke. A satire of Reece and all of his multiple accounts. Nothing more. Ha.
