I may have been a little harsh earlier when I implied that Nepsotic was trolling. So, my apologies for that.

But, as Varrok has emphasized, and LIJI has detailed, and as Wil has acknowledged, there is a difference between computing the product of two numbers and computing the nth power of some number (and that a^b does not equal b^a).

Anyway, I'm sure everyone has grown tired of this tangent; however, to the youngsters and the those otherwise unaware, don't forsake math -- it's full of beauty and utility.

Indeed, and if they did, there is such a thing called convergent evolution, which means that, for instance, although sharks and dolphins have little relation, they both evolved many of the same characteristics, since they are optimal for living underwater, and thus species living under such conditions will often tend to end up with those aspects.

If we consider that the humanoid form is optimal for intelligent creatures, then it becomes plausible for birds to have evolved into Mudokons, which have a humanoid form. And since handling tools is of the most important characteristics for intelligent creatures, then the Mudokons evolving to have four fingers and thus become more apt in regards to handling tools becomes very much plausible, even if the birds they originally evolved from had only three talons.

There is a bony nodule in the back of most bird talons which could plausibly have evolved into another talon and eventually perhaps a dexterous attachment, thus I suppose it is perfectly plausible to have a four fingered mudokon.

The head on a spike makes more sense to me, since they wanted the meat of a Mudokon, that image to me did look like actual meat, but at the same time, why only the head? I'm sure other parts of the Mudokon could be useful.

The "sanitized" image looked like a frozen lollipop to me. Which yeah, meat can be frozen, but it looks like a lollipop you'd have on a hot day. Not something to go with the sunday dinner.
