I guess he does get hungry and exhausted, you can see from his skinny body that he doesn't eat well... but don't forget that he drinks brew while playing the game
Yes I know about the first bit. Although I didn't ask if he gets tired. I asked how he could pull through the game without rest.
Mudokons are probrably skinny by nature not from lack of food.
Brew isn't a very good answer unless you are sarcastic. Besides he only drinks brew once he reaches Feeco Depot, long enough for him to get pretty tired.

Not all glockstars are purple. The colours of their clothing are dictated by fashion and personal preference. That green gluk was called Tex.

And in the Necrum and in other native places? How can the Mudokons pass the secret passage and go into a secret area? And where did they find the SoulStorm Brew's bottles? And how could they pass some dangers as hard as in the Necrum (for example the second secret area of the Necrum)?

Is it remotely possible that Mudokon workers (maybe blind ones) had left brew bottles while helping Sligs clear the area in Necrum that needed to be traveled on?

I have a couple of questions about the ending of Munch's Odyssey again.

1. Near the end of the auction, did lulu know he was being possesed by something, because it seemed like he was trying to fight off abe.

2. How much experience does abe exactly have in possesing glukkons before the auction? When he possesed lulu for the final time, he sure knew how to impress everyone, and talk like one too. Speaking of which, even in AE when you first posses Dripik/Phleg he knew how to talk his way around everyone, is there an answer for this?

3. Why is lulu blamed for the industrial economy collapse in the Angelic ending?

The Mudokons are there because that’s where they’ve been made to work.
  1. He might not understand exactly what’s happening, but clearly he realized he wasn’t in control of his actions. Being so lazy and unintelligent, he might know nothing of Mudokon possession. Other industrialists might be more familiar with the idea from personal experience or reading about it. They fear chanting, and Sligs will shoot each other if they stumble around all glassy eyed.
  2. In exactly the same way, Abe can (although not perfectly) imitate Sligs pretty well. Maybe he can access the possessees’ memories and personality and draw off those. Or maybe Abe is actually a very good actor.
  3. He’s a scapegoat. The industrialists don’t want to admit that, as individuals, companies, and families, they’ve been unable to prevent economic decline. Since Lulu’s Fund is responsible for several respectable Glukkon businesses going down the drain, he makes the perfect recipient of blame. Being penniless and incompetant, he can hardly defend himself.

Also, who says it was necessarily Mudokons dropping the brew bottles there? In the factory, yes, but maybe elsewhere Slig patrols or something, as well as possibly Mudokons or tourists?

Yes, I think they are not only Mudokons' bottles. Maybe Sligs brought bottles there to make curious native Mudokons, so they searched other bottles to drink and they have been captured by Sligs. Is it possible?

I don't think they would have gone quite that far. maybe if there were natives in Necrum or suchlike still, they'd set up the same method of capturing Mudokons as they did in the "Reward" FMV. No one would have been bothered to clear the bottles up afterwards.

The stalls openly advertise themselves to draw eneducated natives to them, not Sligs sent out to hunt them down exactly, the stalls are just set up in likely spots.

This seems to be going just a tad indepth for such a simple gameplay mechanic.

Question: I didn't understand well a particular of AE: when Abe destroyed Necrum Mines and Bonewerkz, did the Glukkons use only the tears of the Mudokons for SoulStorm Brew? And if is it true, is the new kind SoulStorm Brew as good as the old kind?

Necrum mines mostly reduced bone powder count for the Glukkons, you can see a huge bone powder mountain of sorts in Bonewerkz. After this was destroyed, production likely stopped, though there'd still be a fairly large amount of Soulstorm brew bottles in storage ready to be sold. It wasn't exactly a long time after Bonewerkz's destruction that Abe destroyed the rest of the factory.

Tears where ever only part of the brew for the entire story, not the only component. Bone powder was obviously vital.

I know what you said, but I asked it because the Brewmaster in the tears movie asks more tears, because they haven't got bones and so they need tears. I know tears give to SoulStorm Brew only a different taste, but if they aven't got the bones, do they use just the years?

Interesting point. I don’t properly know. It’s hard to think what the Brewmaster is refering to. It may just be they were trying a new recipe at the time, or they may indeed be making the Brew more tear‐rich after the destruction of RuptureFarms and Necrum Mines. Remember, though, that Bonewerkz was shut down but not destroyed. The bone powder already there could be shipped to the Brewery. And in Munch’s Oddysee there are plenty of bonepowder kegs, so the Magog Cartel must have another source of powdered Mudokon bones.

But why does the Director Phleg mention also Rupture Farms? How can they find Mudokons's bones in there? And a very hard question: what is the proceedings, step by step, that the Glukkons use to make SoulStorm Brew?

RuptureFarms was the main source of bones for SoulStorm Brew before its destruction. Not just Mudokon bones, in fact primarily bones from the animals that were slaughtered there: Scrabs, Paramites, Meeches, Elums. It as only when the biggest meat processin plant shut down that the Glukkons turned to digging up Mudokon bones.

You want an exact recipe for SoulStorm Brew? What, have you got some bones and tears and looking to make a special drink for your family this Christmas? There was a list of ingredients. It was on the old INsOMNIOUS website (before OWI got their own web monkey).

Turned to digging up bones? Does that mean the Glukkons started digging up bones or they relied on the bones being dug up at that point? I do believe we a long debate over that factor.

Wait wait wait, so JUST when RF blew up the glukkons started digging mudokon bones?

That wouldn't make any sense, because AE happens RIGHT AFTER AO and that would mean that either the journey from RF to the monsaic lines took very long for big face and Abe, or we have a conspiracy .

Sorry just pointing things out, correct me if I'm wrong.

Max's point: We don't know how long time goes for Oddworld. It may be just enough time in between for them to make a mine. Also, AE's journey happens a day after the AO ending.

My point: Right when Abe shuts down Rupture Farms, the spirits tell him about their bones being taken.

So no, the Necrum excavation happened quite a bit of time before AO happened.

Yes, yes, yes, the timing doesn’t make sense, but read an interview with Lorne Lanning concerning the topic and you’ll see that it was meant to be a very important point that although Abe thought he was doing the right thing in shutting down RuptureFarms, in doing so he actually created another industrial operation exploiting his people. I’m very fond of this jewel of continuity, as it makes a strong point about the character of Abe and how he still has a lot to learn about how to resolve the conflict between nature and consumerism. If the story were to be retold in the two‐part Oddysee and Exoddus form, I would dearly love this to be resolved. However, I don’t think that’s going to happen. The Abe film will present a very different version of the story.

Maybe Lorne was trying to imply that Necrum mines were always being exploited, but after Abe shut down Rupture Farms, the Glukkons started to really busy the mines. That way, the mines were being disrupted even more, and if Abe hadn't came in time, it would probably be a piece of rubble.

Although, I must admit, the theme is very powerful. It really does resemble that the Mudokons have not lifted the naiveness from their leaders and still have much to learn. Yet I don't think we will ever see that in the new Abe story.

In Abe's Exoddus, Abe finds that although he did the right thing by shutting down RuptureFarms, he created a situation that led to an even greater exploitation of his people. When he shut down RuptureFarms, he created a bone shortage. So the Glukkons started mining the Mudokon burial grounds to keep flowing the supply of bones. Business must go on.
But yes, of course, as presented in the game this is an impossible causality.

Personally, I find it strange that Abe triumphed over the destruction of Necrum Mines by…blowing it up. If mining the bones was disturbing them and causing the spirits to lose limbs, wouldn’t the explosion scatter Mudokon remains absolutely all over the place? Why weren’t the spirits reduced to crawling hands and hopping feet?

Yet that does not make a whole lot of sense. The Glukkons would have to have prior knowledge of the whereabouts of Necrum. If that is the case, they would exploit the whole burial grounds right from the start. And clearly if the sewer systems lead to Necrum (as that is how Fleeches get there), the Glukkons would need to exploit much earlier on in the story.

Could it be likely that just the Boiler System was eliminated from existance? That way, the whole Mine would just collaspe energy wise.
