I was watching 28 Days Later (again) last night (or rather very early this morning). Great film. Emily hates it, though.

Does anyone here like Peep show?

The UK Television series, not the adult entertainment.

Just saw it yesterday. It involves Jack Black, Danny Glover, Mos Def, and all forms of hilarity. It was probably the most creative plotline I've seen in a long time, and it was fucking hysterical. Two thumbs up.

I love Peep Show. Might be the best sitcom I've ever seen.

I was watching one of the repeats of Friends yesterday on E4. Very overrated series, but it does have it's moments.

Transamerica is brilliant. Also, it has Kevin Zeger's pasty white arse, which is a bonus.

Saw Hellboy 2 last night. Other than the shitty child acting in two scenes and the fact that the ending is predictable from the first ten minutes, I thought it was brilliant. Everything the first one should have been. And I love Manning (the boss)!

I just saw the first episode of this new vampire show on HBO called "True Blood". It was fucking awful. Bad writing. Bad acting. Bad directing. I had somewhat higher hopes for it. Not because it is a vampire show but because the guy who makes it is the same one that created "Six Feet Under". Which I loved. Oh, well.

Is it just me or have there been a glut of vampire shows lately? And is it just me or have all of them been arse?

I found this incredibly disappointing. I love films about film, and I love Gondry-whimsy, but this was so crushingly average. No joke really took off, and the story never went anywhere. I like the ending though, thousands wouldn't.

On another note, The Restaurant has started up again on the telly! Perfectly timed to help me get over the lack of Dragons' Den.

I saw the Dark Knight the other day with my friend. That movie was sweet as strawberries. The Joker was such a nut XD
I found it really funny how he kept on changing the story as to how he got the Glasgow smile, from his dad doing it, then he did it for his wife or something. I also loved it how he kept on laughing when in the interrogation cell and Batman was beating the crap outta him, and he was laughing his head off. Weird man.

Just saw No Country for Old Men.

Plot was a bit too subtle for me, but I would watch it again since Javier Bodrem was an awesome killer. I also like the fact that the weapons he used were so badass that I want to try them for myself, but they were original. Ending was a bit depressing and it was hard to figure out what some of the people were muttering about in their accents sometimes, but I give this movie an 8/10.

I'd give it a 7/10 but the part where Moss kills the dog on the sandbar is probably up there in the best execution scenes I've ever seen.

Exactly! Considering the town it took place in, I think that was completely appropriate. (Ha, a jab at New Jersey)

Maybe not, but I dunno. The humor itself was so deluded and weird... I don't know, aside from all the fancy things that made it "Feature Presentation" material, it totally felt like a low-budget film. I thought it was really original, and I laughed my ass off when they were doing Ghostbusters... different strokes, I spose.

Oh, I also saw Wristcutters: A Love Story, which was cool in the same sort of uncomfortable way. The only other thing I've seen Tom Waits act in was Coffee and Cigarettes, and the Wristcutters performance blew that one out of the water. Really cool stuff, I felt like those two movies were really refreshing.

It seems I'm a sucker for absurdity.

Hehe, I saw Death Proof the other day XD That movie was pretty darn weird, but then again, all movies by that Quintin Terontino (Dunno how to spell it properly) are pretty gory/strange. After all, he directed (I theenk....) Kill Bill, which I still enjoy XD
Death Proof was a wee bit slow to start in my view, but it soon kicked off with plenty of action ^^
