I didn't like Minecraft at first because I was shown the free creative demo first not the actual game.( I thought the creative demo Was the game) When I played the actual game I was hooked, I've been playing it since Alpha and loving it
The Yogscast also made me play it more

I've been playing around with 1.9 and I can't really see many differences having not been to the nether. There do seems to be larger packs of animals, though.
I spent about 2 hours caving and I managed to find 4 stacks of coal, a stack of iron, 6 diamonds and some gold.
well there are plenty of new stuff,especially in the nether i fought a new mob in the nether,

*its the magma cube,there are some blazes but i didnt found any,also gold is now a replenishable source and try to stack 2 snow blocks up and 1 pumpkin on em.

I've been making an adventure map on Creative Mode but am considering starting over and including a real NPC village in it, so I've been flying around looking for one. Unfortunately the only one I came across was in a desert, but I saw the NPCs and I think I rather like their designs. I have to assume the name "Testificate" is because they're tests and not because they're supposed to be testicle monsters.
Hi i'm new and heard that you really need to have 500 or so post I looked at the post of the guys called Notch and Herobrine greifing your mine craft server so that's why you don't let anyone come on freely. But those are the same things that they said experience would benefit (jumping, run-speed, dig-speed...)
Apart from the potion bottle, I would think it was more to do with experience.
There's a list of potion effects on the wiki and several of them are already caused by other things. There's the one that speeds up hunger drain - food poisoning from rotten meat - and one that caused damage over time - cave spider poison - and one that quickly heals health and hunger -golden apple - amongst others. So evidently not all potion effects are going to be caused by potions.
I get the idea that 'potion' is more a word meaning 'things that effect the basic mechanics of the game'. Some of the effects are caused by items or mobs. Some will surely be caused by experience. Others, like blindness and invisibility, remain to be seen (pun was not intended).
