What about not making any patches at all, and selling game cheat trainers as DLCs(like noclip for unstucking the character etc.) - it'd save a whole lot of dev time!

File size was one of the contributing factors to Stranger HD not coming out on 360.

Well, yes. But I see plenty of full games that are for sale on Xbox Live's Games on Demand section. The 2GB only goes for arcade titles, I think. And I'm assuming Abe HD is not going to be classed as an arcade title?

Games on Demand is only for games that have already sold over 1 million copies at retail. Stranger HD didn’t meet that requirement and neither will Abe HD.

I thought the 2GB limit was only for games that were not originally made for digital distribution. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Anything that goes on XBLA has to be under 2 GiB. Anything that goes on Games on Demand has to be published by a company that has previously released two million-or-more-unit-selling Xbox titles. Microsoft have the freedom to ignore these guidelines if they wish, but in the case of Oddworld, they don't have the desire to.

We still have potential solutions that we're working on.

Something tells me Lorne Lanning won't want to team up with EA again, and I doubt that EA want to team up with Oddworld again. Could be something about Lorne Lanning saying that "EA sabotaged Stranger's Wrath."

But why don't Microsoft want to ignore the lines for Oddworld? They'd make alotta money if they did, I bet. If they don't they'd be stupid as alot of people who only have 360 but can't play the Oddworld games on it buy a PS3. Therefore Sony get more money and Microsoft lose some.
