I started the Slayer Cult forum I'm at and I'm working on getting everything in order. It's a guild for the upcoming game, World of Warcraft (or WoW).

Its actually part of a group guilds of sorts, check us out.

The two week period of Nominations has ended, so it should start sometime today, or possibly tomorrow. Abe Babe and I haven't discussed anything yet pertaining to the voting, so nothing has been established as of yet.

Abe Babe you have to admit that this forum is really lame right about now. It's died, just face it.

And you still have a chance to revive it if you ALLOW the signing up of new members after steef.

Personally, I will be moving on completely to a new forum. Maybe one day I will come back and say hello to you all now and then.

I am retracting any nominations I have made, and abstain from voting. I see no reason for wasting my time voting for MORE mods when we already have enough as it is.

I say this because "apprantly" Alcar and Abe Babe have decided to close off the registering option after the release of Steefs game.

There is hardly going to be a massive inflow of new visitors and users if you turn off the registration. And if there are going to be no new visitors and users then there needs to be no new mods.

But I am going to enjoy watching this forum grind to a halt and die because of too many mods and not enough new people.

And yes, you may take the above paragraph as a suggestion of what will probably happen.

After reading the topic, I have concluded that was all a joke. This forum would not disconnect itself from new oddworld fans, etc. We have dealt with our share of problems over the past few years, and each time we overcome the problems. These forums arent going to die or crumble anytime soon. Period ----->.

I don't blame Death for not wanting to be on the OWF. So many people were mean to him and were totally un-welcoming when he first joined and got the rank for Oddlympics. Maybe if more people were nice to him, he would stay! I like you Death!

*sigh* Yep, people do take things too seriously. The registration close thing was one of Peter's jokes. We have no intention on doing so. Doing that would be pointless.

However if Death wants to leave, he is welcome to. Although I don't like to see people leave, they aren't forced to stay. This is a small forum, so it it could be seen as not as "exciting" as a larger forum to some ... it depends what you like. Plus OWF is always quiet when there's no game info ... not many people join forums for games that aren't being talked about or aren't out. It happened before Munch too. Or one can always create some new topics if they don't like the ones that others create.

Anyway, Jacob responded and declined his nomination, saying to thank the person who nominated him, but he's busy w/ college at the moment.

I'll get together the voting info, and you can start voting soon.

Yeah, but I wouldn't blame him. It's a common mistake, as it's kind of difficult to pinpoint sarcasm over the internet. That's one of the problems with forums. Several other members took it seriously, too. That includes Old and Not so Tasty, who I consider to be one of the wittiest and quickest people on here.
