That creature has the same gun the hunter in the video had! I guess we can expect more info from this character in the upcoming months.

If you notice the face on that shell thing looks rather similar to the hunter we saw in the other shot. The only difference is that the hunter's face has hair and the face itself has been foreshortened. That shell creature face looks as if it has an enlongated hunter's face. All I know is what ever it is it looks sweet! You never know maybe this thing is the next Oddworld enforcer like the Slig then came the Intern. Now comes this new creature that we are calling right now a Hunter. I like it!

And with that on the mind maybe OW4 is about this guy trying to capture this other character which would be the main hero for a bounty. This is very jucy stuff to go by.

You ever see those movies where people get hunted like animals for game by a madman? Maybe OW4 deals with a similar concept of that nature. Like you have these hunters that hunt another species just for profit to make moolah like bounty hunters. Only that these are Oddworld's version of the bounty hunter. Theres another issue to deal with for a good Oddworld plot ya know? Hunting for game to make profit. It once again is another issue like the games previeously. Where Abe delt with food products and the slaughtering of wildlife and destruction of the enviorment. Then you have Munch and his dealings with issues of lonelyness and animal testing. Now we might and its only a theory have this new game that deals with the issues centered around hunting.

This is very intresting.

PA's idea is relativly good. But it would be better if it was for a Tv show. Were the audience pick a creature to be hunted and then a hunter to hunt it and then allow it to do thus on Tv for ratings. That would actually be a good Tv show in real life.

I am not talking about that picture I am talking about the first picture with that up close photogragh of a creature wearing a hat. In a way it resembols the shell thing through the shape of the face but not by a whole lot. Its the roundness of the two faces that I get this comparison from in a very small way. What I mean it could be the same thing but the shell thing is an early stage or concept of the character. Heck for all we know it could be a Khanzumer which would be intresting.

I know they don't look alike. They look completely different but I am looking at how the face is slightly curved in both pictures. But thats only me. So I wouldn't try getting what I am looking at thats just what I see. So sorry to confuse you there. Anyway what this whole idea I am saying is that maybe the two pictures are the pictures of the same character in different stages of development. In other words same character different concepts of it. Thats all.

Me too I hope I am wrong about it as well. I like the shell thing aswell. Maybe this character will look different when the game does come out. Maybe have the shell design but instead of the shell on the head make it more like on the body. Kind of a combo of both designs. I don't know!

One thing I know is that in conceptual art you have to create several peliminary drawings of the same idea where each one is different. Then you go and get your work reviewed and you pick the one everyone likes and you go back and improve on the design make changes but work with that shape. But that is the whole idea of going to such great lengths in designing characters. You get a whole veriety of different designs for the same character. So what we see is only two pictures and those might not be even the design. There could be hundreds more that we don't even know about.

I still can't make heads or tails of this. If I squint it kind of could be an Easter Island statue, or else it look pretty warthog-ish. Can anyone give a useful description?

They definitely look different to me. Its like comparing Elum and Sam, kind of the same head shape, but nothing else at all.

...And wears a shell on his head.

That in itself makes you wonder about the character's mental stability.

But how can you be so sure about that? You guys who have cable let us who don't have cable like me and some others, know on what happened on the show. I hope maybe they will post it on the official site but I don't know. Yes I too have been deprived without Cable all my life. But I am planning on getting Direct TV eventually this year.

I wouldnt worry, remember the video is not all OW4 so there is probably going to be other people like Halo fans uploading this onto the net., either in fragments(ive seen it done for other programs that had multiple games featured) or the whole entire program.

IGN also stated that they would keep things updated on the new game. Meaning they will probably put excerpts from OW4 on their site, that are from the DC program. Also oddworld fans who might be filming it with digital recording, could easily transfer that to quicktime its not a very complicated process.

I highly doubt that it will not get on the net someway or another. I felt the same way about E3, in missing things like the Halo 2 demo, it eventually got leaked onto the net the day of, you just have to look around a bit and not give up on searching a lot.

I just personally am glad I have digital cable.
