While I've had the Debugger/XBOX for some time, today is the first day I've had any real games for it( Other than concept demos. Earlier this morning at around 9:30 a sweet package from Microsoft came that included: Halo, Dead or Alive 3, Project Gotham Racing, Fusion Frenzy, another two games will be coming next week. These are finished games. Munch is not one of them. I'll be waiting some more, like everyone else.

The games are running very beautifully. Halo has all frames running at 30-60 no matter how crowded things get.It is really amazing, even better than I had hoped. Fusion Frenzy is a funner party game than even Mario party, and the graphics are far beyond Mario party. So if you liked Mario Party you will love Fusion Frenzy. DOA3 is by far the best fighter in both looks, and gameplay. Not my favorite genre but this game can make a believer of me.Project Gotham is the best looking racer to date, yes even better than GT3, I know it is a bold statement but a true one. As for gameplay it is similar to Metropolis from Dreamcast, ( Same team ) but again with added extras already in the early stages.

Halo is really something. Multiplayer, co-op play, great A.I., the best I have ever witnessed in a finished game. Others recently have shown me quite a bit as well, but they are still a ways off. Back with more later.

Hey, SS, I read that to be able to use XBOX's internet capabilities there'll be a monthly fee. Do you know how much? And do you know if some games will charge more monthly money? 'Cause I'd much rather buy more games then shelling out my $$ paying outrageous fees for online games...

I don't know if the xbox its self will cost a fee to use the internet, but I'm pretty sure that I read that one game would cost its own monthly fee. (I think it was Fantasy Star Online, but I'm not sure).

Well, this is from page 214 of this Months Electronic Gaming Monthly

"Mircrosoft sin't kicking off its broadband-gaming service-which will involve a single monthly fee to play all of XBOX's Online Games-until the first half of next year."

So I want to know if that monthly fee will cover ALL games, including MMORPG's, and about how much it will be.

Hey Steel, just one quick question before you get all those XBOX games on Monday (we might not see you for months ). Do you know any 'insider' information on Galleon? I just got interested in it, and the graphics are really amazing...I never really cared for Tomb Raider, but this seems to have a much more realized plot...

A hands on look at Fusion Frenzy by the Steel shark..........

Thanks to my Debugger I get a look at it now. While waiting for my Bro to get back to town this Wednesday night to play the Great Munch and Halo I have been playing Fusion Frenzy with a couple of my companions, the "Sharkettes". What a party game it is.

Sometimes we overlook the most important purpose of games: to have fun. Each mini-game is unique and intuitively created.Fuzion Frenzy pits players against each other in a crazy dash to construct their own balls before a true offense can be mounted. In a very nice twist, the main game is not merely a way for players to get from one mini-game to the next, but also a way of gathering strength since power-ups can be carried into the mini-games.

You can find all kinds of genres torn down to their core parts, allowing for quick and unencumbered play. This game will just be a must have for endless good times. It just is always new and you will never play the same game twice, from tron like games to speed boat racing and everything in-between. Each mini-game, 45 of them are all very unique, and all are very fun. No matter which one you play, you will have a very good time with.

The graphics are not revolutionary, but do offer quite a bit of eye-candy.Graphically Fuzion Frenzy is still outstanding. Pushing incredible models, backgrounds and lighting effects that are only possible on the Xbox console. The effects too are very effective in what they try to bring to the table. If you liked Mario party, you will "LOVE" this game. It does everything right in the world of all out fun and competition.

There are 6 arena's and some of the games include: "King of the Hill," where you get to drive these odd little hovercrafts and slam into other contestants in an attempt to knock them off a different style of platform. Another is "Sumo," four gladiators in giant, spherical "hamster cages" roll around a platform with the intent of knocking the other three players over the edge. Of course, the platform becomes smaller over time. They are all very fun, and that's what this game offers, absolute fun.

So when not Munching, or Halo blasting, or all else possible with XBOX you will have one very fun and addictive party game for 2 -4 people to really love and have as much fun as possible with.

Yay! Looked like a picked all winners for my bundle...Although I heard that the Fuzion Frenzy single-player game isn't very fun.Is that true? Because we all know that you can't always hook up with 3 friends, and I may need to practice my Fuzion Frenzy skillz solo.

Crash Bandicoot Boogies Over to Xbox
Crash Bandicoot, one of the biggest stars on Playstation is bounding his way over to Xbox. Video Business Online has learned that Universal Interactive Studios is readying an enhanced version of Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex for Xbox.

The move has symbolic and literal importance to Microsoft's new platform. Not only will Xbox gamers get access to Sony's mascot from a few years ago--the Bandicoot series surpassed 6 million worldwide unit sales in 1999--but Microsoft gets a family-friendly game (in addition to Shrek) to appeal to a wider swath of consumers than the mostly hardcore Xbox launch lineup.

SCEA will definitely get some lead time in the market with the PoS2 Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex. UIS senior producer Daniel Suarez could not divulge how much time.

He said the Xbox version would retain the same core game elements as the PoS2 title but would be enhanced "to harness the Xbox's powerful graphics technology." Suarez said the Xbox title will add special 3D texture effects such as bump mapping and use the system's built-in hard drive to speed file and graphics load times.

"Having Crash Bandicoot as part of our lineup is awesome," said Seamus Blackley, manager of Xbox's Advanced Technology Group.

Fuzzy: I have played Fusion Frenzy for many a hour already. With 2-4 players it is Mario Party on stearoids. It is a real fun game. Never plays the same, very original in it's game concept. As a single player game it too is still fun, you do play against Computer opponents. However it still is just more fun with friends. The game has alot of strategy as well, it is actually deeper than one would think at first glance. It's one of my games for the beautiful XBOX launch. I have been really tested on holding back Munch and Halo until Wednesday to play with my Brother. But Fusion Frenzy and a few freinds most notably the Sharkettes of Newport beach have been keeping me busy. Almost there now, 3 for me, and 4 for you and most everyone else.

I have heard from a reliable source two months ago that DMC will be coming to XBOX in Feb/March. But it will be in a Directors cut version, added levels and extra eye-candy. They will announce after the Holidays so that they can get as much in the sales department as possible with the PS2 version. And then go for the cash cow way in early 2002 with XBOX.

*sigh* And I thought getting the XBOX will be most of the wait. There are sooo many incredible games coming out late 2002. Maybe you can make a list of your top __ games for various genres...That'd be neat...because I've been focusing on launch games more than games far in the future.

Well before I go off to XBOX heaven, i"ll post next year's titles of bliss.

Project EGO
Orchid
Panzer Dragoon X
Matrix
24 Automatons
Heavens Beast
Terminal Reality
Brute Force
BC
Enclave
Call of the Dragonfly
Strident
Duality
Kehl
Knights
Nomads
MGS 2 X (Directors cut baby)
Un holy
Yager
Breed
Malice
Swat ( Ist person Shooter)
Dominion
Phoenix ( code name from Halo makers
Oddworld's next hit ???

And about 15 more I know of but are a bit early to brag about just yet. All games above are basically well rounded 3RD person act/adv/puzzlers, all I can say are equal or in about half there cases stand above all we have seen to date, including the Halo's and MGs 2 's of today. Orchid for example will be a Munch type feel but next gen once again, wait until you see it.

The ones coming first on that great list are Brute force and Enclave, about April/May.

And don't forget all the other genres. Those are "MY" best and most wanted, all in the 3rd person views. Exploration, stealth, action, strategy. Well it's XBOX time, got to go, I am off to Bliss.

Sorry to bring up an old topic (It makes more sense then making new ones), but SS, if you're out there (and can take 5 minutes away from the 'BOX to answer ), do you know what the most recent release date is for Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind? I know earlier you said May, but EBgames.com has it listed for the 15th of February as of now.

One day I'll get to play my Xbox... anyway...

I was reading back on the topic as I hadn't done so for a while... and there certainly seems to be some good games available out there. I like the look of Morrowind which FuzzyFuzzle mentioned. That looks like my kind of game. Also Malice and Azurik. I'd like to see a full RPG on the Xbox in the future too... but I'll have so much games coming out of my ears if I get a few of the upcoming Xbox titles that I want to get early this year/next year.

Xbox controller... I kind of thought that it looked pretty bulky until I got to hold it (I held it, but I couldn't play... *sigh* ... it kind of fits into your hands and the trigger buttons seem to be in just the right position. I guess it's one of those controllers where looks can be decieving.

I'm sure SteelShark is having loads of fun playing all the latest Xbox games... and perhaps some GameCube ones too. Don't let a few people stop you from posting here... your comments and info on the Xbox are always a welcome from some of us here.

Abe Babe...
