It would mean that instead of happily possessing sligs and killing them and feeling good about it, the player might start feeling sorry for them while the game forces you to kill them. If you want to establish sligs as victims then Abe should be the one to realize that they are victims. Not just the player. As such, the events of Slig Storm should be incorporated in the quintology. Not as a separate game with a separate main character and a separate timeline.
So if Sligstorm became part of the Quintology and our albino Slig character became one of Abe's companions, would you be down with that?

Because I think I would be, having a character hailing from one of the Industrial species would liven up the group dynamic a bit.

No I think Munch is a bad character. My qualms are entirely with Munch himself and not how shitty his game was.
I'm curious, how do you think they could fix him as a character?

I really like that idea. It would make the Sligs just another victim and not just brainless henchmen. Also I would love to see the Sligs rebel against their Glukkon masters.

I'm curious, how do you think they could fix him as a character?
I know I'm not Sekto, but I don't think they can. He was basically a really annoying version of Abe. The exact same character, except his voice is more annoying, his biology is basically impossible, he has annoying sound effects and can't fucking run.
In fact, I'd say he had even less depth than Abe.

I think it could be some very interesting plot development if a slig became one of Abe's companions and to explore the slig's backstory that way. It would give Abe a chance to see the true nature of the sligs much in the same way as he saw the true nature of the animals Rupture Farms was chopping to bits.

I think that Sligstorm would still be morally questionable. From what little I know about it, your goal was to escape the birthing complex right? In any way possible, I could see a very dark plot revolving around that...

I don't think the Sligs are important enough within the Quintology to make that interesting. A Glukkon, on the other hand...

Sligs arenโ€™t important within the Quintology? Theyโ€™re basically the primary enemy force Abe encounters throughout his quest. Giving us a deeper look at the Sligs and the way their species fits into the world would dramatically change the dynamic of the interactions Abe and his allies have with the Industrialists.

I think in Munch's Exoddus or Squeek's Oddysee Abe and Munch should apologise to Lulu for ruining his life, and then he goes and helps the natives and becomes playable. If you think about it, Lulu never did anything villainous to deserve having his dreams come true, only to be immediatley crushed by Abe and Munch.

It's because Munch has an annoying voice and has the intelligence of a cucumber. The squeeking and weird sounds while playing don't help either.

The lack of depth is also due to so much being cut out of the game. That could be fixed in a Munch's Exoddus.

Plus, that's vaguely streamlined, Gabbits aren't whatsoever.

That’s a bad analogy because puppets are inanimate objects and not intelligent creatures.

A better analogy would be to tell the story of a footsoldier rather than the dictator, which would actually be interesting as we could see the footsoldier’s story and empathize with them; perhaps even come to understand them and gain a deeper insight into an otherwise two-dimensional fight.

To simply call them puppets is to forget that they are also living creatures with stories to tell. And to me, part of Oddworld’s message is that almost no one is just cardboard-cutout evil.
