All I was asking, basically, was "what does your work involve that makes it important?". I would have no problem with you if you didn't accuse me of ignorance and then refuse to tell me properly why you are doing so.

Ok people, don't degenerate this thread into spam too! Not that it has, Im just giving a precaution.

Also Asmoden. People usually have a problem when you use the "I have a secret, but I'm not gonna tell what it is". It's a waste of posts and people's energy to try to decipher that. If you don't wanna start a heated debate leading to nowhere, I suggest you either give whatever info these people want, or stop discussing this for now.

Anyway, I'd say... If you believe you're a shaman, and it makes you happy... By all means continue doing it. But if you can't provide substantial proof that you actually have any powers, then no one will ever take you seriously.
If you can't even explain the why's and hows.... Then it's no better than religious people using circular logic. So I suggest maybe giving this thread a rest. But it's your choice of course

Oh and... Yea. Further shallow reserach tells me that there are socalled electronical equipment and such that will help people lucid dream. I guess some people are really into it.

Dunno what else it could be, cos from my chats with him, it didnø't seems like he was insane or anything.
Maybe people like him just want to believe something so much that they even alter their own mind and subconscious to make these things real. Such as a form of self-hypnosis. To him, all this is very real.
It may even be that it's true. But we'll never know will we? Chances are that he just made himself hallucinate or lucid dream

... Which can both be obtained through hypnosis(i think).

If its real, he should be able to prove it to us. I have high standards of evidence, but real things are quite able to meet them. Being real is a significant advantage. Don't know if it's been mentioned in the thread, I don't want to read all 3 pages, but I've had this thing called sleep paralysis, which if I'm correct is similar to lucid dreaming. Basically I "woke up" and was lying in bed but I couldn't move at all. My arm was stretched out and so was my hand. My fingers seemed to be being bent backwards and I couldn't stop it. At the same time I heard this screaming noise in my ears. It wasn't a proper dream either, I can't describe it, but I know it was real life. Can't remember how long it lasted, but it wasn't nice and I wouldn't want anyone to have one of these things, really scared me.

I get sleep paralysis all the time. It's awful, but I just rest until I properly wake up. First time I got it, I really panicked, but there's no way you can wake yourself by conciously trying to wake yourself (or at least, that's the case with me). I ususally wake up when I try to alter something without waking myself up - the other night, I woke up when trying to make my arm comfortable while I waited to wake up. A different night, I woke up when trying to check the time to see how long I had been in that state. I don't panic half as much as I used to. I used to really struggle to move, and I used to really try to vocalise to get help, but it doesn't work.

When I try to get asleep I sometimes get that feeling of falling down through my bed. When that happens I usually move quickly, and my sllepy feelings go away
