I'm not a religious guy, I don't even like it myself. Although the stories are interesting.

I remember reading somewhere that Astronomers discovered that the star that appeared at Jesus's birth was actually a Supernova (I think). It took place five years before the Romans said it did, so technically we're in 2014 (I can't remember the month sometime at the spring/summer boundary I think).

I'll need to try and find out where I found the information.

Meh. Too many people on this forum are dumbarses and couldn't debate their way out of a paper bag.


My view on religion is strangely similar to my view on Software Engineering; Postel's Law states "Be conservative in what you do, be liberal in what you accept from others". Or, to phrase it another way, follow your own religion strictly but don't get bothered by (or interfere with) what anyone else does.
