Well I can begin to appreciate them doing what they feel is a 'service' for mankind, but a lot of that site doesn't make sense. For example... what is the IHC Lottery?

what? The whole thing is intentionally ambiguous.... Who would think that *if* there was some global disaster that there would even be any kind of global infrastructure left in tact to be dealing with worthless 'tickets'? There's no common sense at play in this. Anyone truly concerned about some global disaster would spend less time worrying about tickets and learning some survival tactics.
I'd sooner deduce that there's some kind of marketing gimmick at play; marketing likes to induce fear to sell a product.
