Constantly upgrading his pants, he wants to achieve one thing: SPEED. The pants he has now are already faster than any other Oddworldian invention, and he can easily outrun an Elum. In the Black Scrabs, he's regarded as one of the most important members because of the ingenious gadgets and weapons he invents for the crew. Without him, they would have never have cheated, killed, backstabbed and theived to the top.
