Chapter 9 A light in the darkness

THe elevator conitnued upwards until it came to a halt. Jerec leaped across the small chasm and kept walking with his slypth in hand. His father was again speaking to him.

"You are very close...."

Jerec was now wondoring where this light of truth was. He entered a small chamber and found a dead slig lying next to a lever. The room appeared to be a prison cell with a meat grinder in the center. For some reason it felt like Jerec was here before.

He found something though, he looked at one of the walls that had been eroded so much that Jerec walked right through the opening. Inside he found a bird sitting right in front of him, but as he picked it up pain surged through his body and light enveloped him.

THe bird sent a wave of electricity onto his hands and burned two small tatoos on both of his hands. They showed two birds Identicle to eachother. Jerec began to Chant and a enormous light once again surrounde him but what he saw this time he could not even believe......

Chapter 10 Fate or Destiny?

Jerec could not believe what he was seeing, he remembered this vision as a child though it no longer was a vision.

" Hello Son... You have found the light of truth and with it you must walk the path of truth, in order to understand,"

" But dad I don't even know your name!"

" Do you think that is really what is important right now!"

" Well..."

" You might as well hear it form me now than having to wait years again, you see I am merely here in spirit form, to guide you.
It may be strange but I am far away exploring the other parts of Oddworld. So the Only way I can speak to you is when I meditate.
THe light of truth will help you on your way though to things that are invisible to the naked eye."

" Why are you exploring instead of staying here!"

" You see son I am the savior and chosen one of the Mudokon race, I have gathered three others My name of course Abe followed by Munch, and Sqeek who have been saviors of their own races, and we must find the fourth Nod. You see son are destiny's lie on differnt paths, but some day we will truly meet when the final hour has come. You must defeat the evil here then return to your village."

" But......"

" Your questions will be answered, good bye for now my son Jerec......"

With those words Jerec headed for the sub sections of Rupture Farms....

Chapter 11 The darkest depths

Jerec had the spark of hope that his father was right and that they would meet in the future at the end. Though the though was pondoring the end? When was the end?

Jerec had climbed down twenty levels, and was now in the complete darkness he new without light he could not see, that was just plain common sense. So he chanted, and light sprang into his own eyes, and he could see clearly

He walked forward but what he discovered was he was at the bottom of the whole facility. He had know idea what to do. He sat down instead and began to meditate. He saw that he was above his body floating in the air so he journeyed back up stairs. His body would be sheilded for his time away.

With that in mind he went searching for the archives room inside the administration office. Being that he was in spirit form he walked right through walls. Jerec then went by octigi, but they could not see him. He eventually about an hour later discovered the archives and began his search for the map. Rows of books with dead glukkons with there slig body guards stood motionless as their rotten bodies decayed.

Lucky for Jerec he could not even smell the horrible stench. After searching for some time he used his telepathy to raise a map of Rupture Farms. He continued back to his body, but something had gotten there first..........

Chapter 12 Stuck between Time and Space

Jerec was simply stunned the Octigi were dragging his body away and he could not reach it . Even stranger was that he could not even re enter his own body.

It was as if he was dead, and trapped in between time and space not really knowing what was going to happen next. Jerec was seeing visions of things that had heppened and things that had not.

One of those such visions showed him a large battle for something of great importance something like a pure organic creature of Oddworld but Jerec could not make out the creature.

He also saw a vision of someone traveling in the past hooded in a large and magnificant Oddworldian city thousands of years before where Mudokons once were the guadians of peace on the planet.

But Jerec was losing his battle with himself his identity was slipping from his grasp and he was forgetting everything. Fearing that all hope was lost he began to just let it come. But as he thought it was over, something truly amazing happened.

A large light sprang from thee darkness and a mudokon spirit took form he chanted and the Octigi ran off leaving Jerec's body behind life sprang back into Jerec and he floated back into his own body. He opened his eyes but the spirit was gone.

He knew he had to continue into the darkest depths of this facility, but what was truly behind this dark vibes Jerec was feeling was unknown.............

Chapter 13 into the Lair

Jerec headed forward and looked at the map he had retrieved. The factory was to only go down s far but Jerec found a new tunnel. It lead to an area that was not even on this map.

The tunnel was very misty and covered with a strange green substance that was very sticky and thick. Jerec tried not to look but he had to continue. The tunnel lead into a series of catocombs all tunneled underneath Rupture Farms spanning for miles.

Jerec could here the screaming of otheres being tortured. But he still continues through this maze. Jerec hid in the shadows as a group of Octigi followed by the zombie mudokons entered a large room.

Jerec followed seeing a large weapon, in which its purpose was unknown. The weapon was not completed but was being worked on. The octigi continued into another room but sealed the room behind them.

Jerec knew he had to do something but what he had his slypth with him. He continued but was stopped after being hit in the back of the head............

Chapter 14 Caught

Jerec awakened to a dim light hanging above his head. He was inside a cell in the catocombs. He was next to another mud who was all bruised and sore, lying on the floor like a wounded elum.

He looked all around but he seemed to be in the deepest parts of the catocombs.

" You must be knew here," said one of the muds.

" What is going on here," Jerec replied back.

" Well, we are now slaves of the Octigi we will be forced to work."

" Why?"

"because they are all evil!"

" Well I'm going to do something about it!"

Jerec silently chanted and went into a transe. He left the cell and looked around in spirit form he could detect the presence of other things. He rentered his body and walked through the wall behind him.

" I'll be back for you."

Jerec headed through the dark passage as quickly and silently as he could. He came back to the main room with the weapon. He headed also to the main chamber of the facility. He found his slypth and picked it up.

Jerec then entered the main audience chamber and saw Octigi with capes, surrounding a throne in which sat a Glukkon wearing a cape although no suit...........

Chapter 15 The Final Showdown

" Welcome Jerec I have been waiting for years to finally extract my revenge," the hooded Glukkon said.

" Who are you and how do you know my name?" Jerec inqired.

" Well lets just say I know your father."

" I want to savor this moment, Octigi release the Gloctigi Beast from containment!"

" HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH.............."

Jerec dropped into a pit below the viewing Octigi and the Gloctigi emerged. Jerec was simply gasping. The creature was five times the size of Jerec and alot meaner than those Octigi. The creature lept at him but Jerec dodged quickly. It through him against a wall. Jerec was now bleeding.

It came for another pass but Jerec took his slypth and stuck the spear through the Gloctigi's Chest. Not willing to die the Gloctigi began to get furious with Jerec and Pinned him against the wall. With time running out the GLoctigi was about to devour Jerec, but Jerec chanted and a wave of light shpt out.

This temporarley stunned the beast, and Jerec took the Slypth and stabbed the Gloctigi through the the head finally giving it the Mortal and deathly blow. The creature felll to the ground as the crimson blood flowed from its deep wounds.

Jerec klimbed back up to the main chamber and saw the Hooded glukkon threw his cigarrette on the ground and it lit the whole room filled with gas on fire. The glukkon stared coldyly with his dark red eyes as he escaped through the emergency exit. The doors closed behind him and Jerec looked forward........

Chapter 16 Wasn't I here before.....oh well escape

Jerec ran forward as he heard a voice saying that the factory was going to blow up in ten minutes. THe weapon that the GLukkon ordered built was now blowing up also . Mass confusion as the slaves were all running back to the surface.

Jerec began fighting the zombie muds and Octigi but he still wished he was out already. He saw his cell mate with the others running and climbing up.

Jerec continued and was making great time the factory was blowing up around him though.

" Five minutes"

Jerec was almost out he took the ventalation shaft up and was running away from the factory. A supernova type explosion ignited the morning sun as the Factory which was once Rupture Farms was finally laid to rest. It was finally over for Jerec and the slaves.

The Hooded Glukkon had failed for now but soon victory would be his............................
