Can we actually have a shot of the same screen on different platforms showing color difference? Because otherwise I agree with Nate, it's simply environment lightning.

Well I've played the PC and PSX versions too, and the mines on the PC version are blue and more detailed everywhere they're found, while the PSX mines are all dark and pixelated.

The design of the mines on the PSX version differ from the PC version in several aspects. No idea why, although whoever said it was to do with technical limitations is probably on the right lines. Maybe when they ported Oddysee to PC the mines just didn't look right for one reason or another. However, aside from shadows, the environment doesn't play a factor in their appearance.

Loads of things differ. The mines, the levers, the text and the music. God, the music in the PC version sucks ass. What a shitty port.

You have to press and hold the gamespeak buttons for some reason. Just tapping them won't do shit except make him do the weird twitchy thing.

Sometimes even holding them doesn't work. It's just the result of poor porting.

The different coloured mines in the PC versions through me off as well. I'm slightly embarrassed that such a small object has this effect...

Russian Mafia coming in as a political force and sheep herders being ousted but I wanted to do it more like the dynamics between cats and dogs. All these Russian Mafia guys are going to have this feline heritage and the sheep herders were more like dogs—​but imagine dogs evolving 50 million years later. That’s what Fangus was. The same weird twitch thing happens in PS1 AO. Playstation controllers have pressure sensitive buttons. When you press the X key it sends a value depending on how hard you pressed it. You can change the pressure without lifting the key, so AO starts playing the animation at a certain pressure, but if you don't hit the button quite hard enough you just get the weird twitch. It took me ages to get used to because I would just stop pressing the button when I got the visual feedback. I think the PC version tries to emulate this with a small timed delay. If you release they key too soon you just get the twitch.

Sometimes on both platforms it just randomly won't work for the first few times I try to say something though.

Yes, this is what happens. The only reason anyone notices it is because you’re used to the much smaller delay on the PS1 controller and aren’t used to the PC version.

Anyway, let’s all agree to just blank Nep. He’s clearly not interested in having a conversation.

Just because what he's asked is worded harshly doesn't mean he's uninterested in conversation. I was actually going to ask exactly what he did because I've never experienced the delay on the PSX version either BUT he beat me to the catch so I just waited for answers to happen.

The only issues I've had involving controls being delayed on PSX is running, rolling, and that weird accidental making a slig walk two steps instead of one thing. Meanwhile, all the control issues I've had on PC are entirely with the gamespeak taking way too long to register and Abe basically clipping through the floor just before talking.

I don't ever remember Abe basically clipping through the floor when trying to talk in the PSX version. Guess I'll just pay closer attention next time I play it.

What? I'm talking about the twitching thing where he moves a bit and then the animation cancels.

Also I think you can make Abe roll from running in the PC version by pressing a gamespeak key. I can't remember which one it is, though. Probably 4.

Oh the twitching we were talking about he like... moves a slight bit down into the floor and the animation stops entirely and if you don't continue holding the gamespeak key for it he just goes back to standing there being a dumbass without following through with the command. I've only experienced this in the PC version. I know the moving a bit and the animation cancels but when that's happened to me on the PSX version the command still goes through.

I only have two things to say in response to that, and I request if anyone wishes to continue discussing this with me further that they PM me because this is NOT the place to be talking about this shit and I'm tired of writing up public posts like this.

1- It's kind of hard to be all nice and humble when even at times when you're trying your best to actively engage in the ongoing situation you're met with hostility and people pointing their fingers at you blaming your age for nearly everything you do

2- I can't fucking believe you just publicly stated you feel sorry for me despite the fact that it was probably one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life, regardless of the context given. I'm dead serious when I say I couldn't be happier with life at this exact moment because of it, and I don't want any form of sympathy because there's absolutely no reason to sympathize.

I'm sorry but what was posted above was despicable and it sickens me. The fact that someone has a problem with the choices someone else has made in their life pisses me right off. I know what it's like to be judged every day because of my body type, but honestly I couldn't be happier with it and I have had a strong relationship with my girlfriend for several years now. So I'm saying this not out of support but out of personal anger that some people have the audacity to slate other people, everyone deserves somebody in their lives, even if they aren't viewed in a positive way. It's not like it was even a part of the topic, it was pure slate.

I'm sorry if this has been answered elsewhere on the forums or anywhere else, but how exactly is the Mongo River connected to the gabbit breeding grounds? I'm particularly interested in the effect the end of Stranger's Wrath may or may not have had on Munch's own journey w/ regards to repopulating his species.

The mongo river is connected to Ma'Spa which is the place where the Gabbit breed. I think that's about all we know.

It is true Seckto's Dam could have been a major pain in the ass for Gabbit reproduction. But it's not like Gabbits can't hop around it.

So I've always wondered, and it's a pretty stupid thing to wonder, is what could the Tea at the end of AE be made of? We don't get any flora explained to us in the game, except for one in MO, you know, the spooce. So since spooce seems to make up so much else, is spooce what's in tea?

- Paramonian misteloe's needles;
- Scabanian cacti's essence;
- Monsaic Lines' grass;
- Use bee's honey (if you need);
- Mudokon tears;
- Heroin-flower (Monsaic Lines);
- Necrum bones.
