Just an information ; I believe the final result will be...a timelapse video. So prepare to be chocked beause of the hight level-details, I really want to do something good (This is one of my personnality problem : Never being proud of my work) I'd like this time to be...

I always use to make a creation, be happy about it for few wekks, and next drop it to trash because I think it's too lame. Hope it will be better this time.

Well, it seems that when we type "oddworld feeco depot" or only "feeco depot" on google, the first page of results shows 4 or 5 links to this WIP (this forum, another french 3d forum, my personnal website and my deviant account). Kind of nice ! Don't speak about the "google images" research, it's better !

I played this afternoon with Pyrocluster, a smoke/fog/fire/cloud specialized module in Cinema 4D ; It's my very first time, and not very complicated to understand. So, the boiler is happy.



EDIT: Like I said, this WIP is...personnalized ^^

Not a problem to animate this Spekto, the real problem is about the render time...kind of long with the smoke 'cause of the high level of details ! But why not. It woud be funny !

I would personally find it awesome if you could animate the furnace and turn it into a character. Like, have it dance around and stuff. I will personally stalk Alcar until he makes it the forum's mascot.

But I believe I'm far away from the skills of people working on these games...
I think.

For now I'm just having fun, oddworld universe fit completely with my creative style so I keep creating this way because it's very excited and, I have to say it, your support makes me more and more motivated.

I'm gonna finish this WIP, diffuse the final time-lapse video to oddworld communities, and then i'll show you my next project, which is some kind of an oddworld tribute : another world/universe, with weird places, wicked creatures and others funny(f*cked up !) things... My way to say to oddworld creators :

"Damn. Thank you guys."

Seriously, don't put yourself down. If some graphics from Abe HD came out looking a bit like what you've done (maybe slightly higher quality, but only slightly), I would think that the game would look awesome. You have a lot of potential, you obviously like Oddworld a lot and have a high attention to detail, and there's always room for you to improve your skills if you have self-doubt - JAW looks like they need people like you, and you can always learn from what they teach you on the job.
