Agreed. I also think it's better that Abe has to say "Follow Me" like in the old games. And also that there's no health bar. Sure, he still has a life but that's kind of needed in 3D games. But no health bar (the brids) makes it more realistic I'd say, like the old games. Another thing I like is that Abe walks, instead of atomatically running.=, like in the old games.

Clicking and moving a thumbstick is a royal pain. I'm glad we remapped the shoot and sneak controls to the shoulder buttons for Munch HD.

Would be interesting if the beta did exist in a physical copy somewhere, although I wonder how complete it would be.
Sure, all the LED Screens, old GameSpeak, beta vendos and interactivity between friends and foes are nice, but if the game is incomplete you'd have to REALLY want it. And even then, incomplete or not, it's not the kind of think OWI just distribute willy nilly... if it still exists, mind you.

Take the prototypes of Croc for the PSone for example. Only been entrusted to one person, not for redistribution, and for the sole purpose of showing the game off as it was before full completion.

It would be kinda nice to know if the game in it's prototype form still exists somewhere, though.

Definitely, I can imagine that's making the experience a little more controlable.
Although, nice that you can map the run, walk and sneak controls seperately for the PC version of the regular game. I can work with that for now.

These videos were not from a beta. They were movies of gameplay concepts. If there was ever a playable PS2 version it was nothing like the videos. I'm sure there were various builds of the Xbox version lying around at some point, but I imagine they wouldn't be any good. It would be like a less polished version of MO for god's sake.

Thought so. I thought maybe there might have been a stable model of all the concepts put together, but even so I doubt a prototype would've existed considering how disjointed a lot of the footage there was.

Well, I'm content with what we got, so I'll just deal I guess.
Afterall, I'm definitely all for a Munch's Exoddus in future, so if that ever comes around it'll definitely be polished to a standard EVERYONE likes (because, you know, OWI learn from the reception they get), possibly harkening back to it's predecessors a little more than MO did. And paced a little better. :/
