I've been listening to a lot of Folk music thanks to Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music. I don't love all of it, but it's good to have one buzzing in my head when I'm, trying to make a song up. Here's my fave featuring amination. I think this makes me some variety of double-dog douchebag hipster.
It's autumn in Canada, which means it's time for Ween, and it's alright to dream of Buckingham Green.
A friend of mine has been trying to broaden the range of music I listen to, so he's gotten me into Dark Heresy. I honestly couldn't tell you what specific variety of Metal this falls under, but I like it a lot and I hate Metal. So here's this.
Sticking with my traditional tastes, Carter Burwell's Soundtrack for True Grit (the good one) is one of the best.
Yeah, really sad that he died, I just lately started listening to Modal Soul and it's a really, really good album.
Indeed. You should Listen Hydeout Productions 2nd Collection and Modal Soul Classics II, the latter not being made by him, but really good, nonetheless. I really need to listen the last two albums of him.
I downloaded Kid Cudi's Man On the Moon: The End of Day album and I'm really liking some of the tracks. Mr. Bungle, you seem to like Cudi, what are some good tracks from him? I like these the most:
"I'm staunchly atheist, I simply don’t believe in God. But I'm still Catholic, of course. Catholicism has a much broader reach than just the religion. I'm technically Catholic, it's the box you have to tick on the census form: 'Don't believe in God, but I do still hate Rangers..'"
A friend of mine released an album recently. It's all I've been listening to since it came out.
Shit, that's pretty good. PM me the torrent link.

Pretty much anything off Man on the Moon: The End of Day is great, that's one of my favourite albums of the past few years. His A Kid Named Cudi mixtape is great as well, I'd get that if you haven't already. It's very sample-heavy but done in a unique way so it doesn't sound he's blanatantly ripping off the artists he samples.
Here's a few tracks from it:
The Steve Aoki remix of Pursuit of Happiness is a lot of fun, too:
I'm tired of everyone associating it with Project X, though.
