I kinda expected it to be a dark, grim, creepy game. I wasn't too happy knowing it's not that type of the game. The first minutes certainly felt like it though.
Bought Mount and Blade: Warband and begun the journey of Borris of the Woods, son of some fuck nobody. I decided it would be more fun to be a nobody, and so far so good.
After arriving on the continent, Borris instantly got captured by bandits and held prisoner for a week. He then set out to gather a band of angry farmers with sticks, who regularly lost fights to bandits. After delivering a letter for a lord, he was given the opportunity to collect taxes from a village for a 1/5th cut. Now with some money in pocket, Borris set to trading across the world and gradually acquired some better gear and men. Tragedy struck after investing everything in oil, but getting robbed clean by bandits before the final delivery. Down on money and men, Borris was back to square one.
After spending all of his money recruiting all of 2 men from a local village, Borris was in a bind. He thankfully found some work hunting an outlaw for a lord, earning him enough to recruit more men. With a band of 10 he went out to harass peasants in the east, to steal their goods for profit. The world had taken everything from Borris, it was time to take something back. After thoroughly angering 2 factions, and with a few hundred money in pocket, Borris went back to recruiting, gathering a band of over 40 angry farmers with sticks.
Now Borris is back in the game, trading and trying to befriend any lords who will give him work.
I've been playing this game for a total of 3 hours.
Finally got unbanned from GTA Online (I used hacks to play animations for roleplaying and nothing else) buuuut my money is gone. I had almost $2,000,000. /sarcasticyay
It's Rockstar's fault for not implementing animations, not mine. They shouldn't even ban people for doing something that should've been in the game in the first place.

Before you know it you will be robbing banks and putting the blame on society.
I started Mother 2 some time ago, and I still intend to finish it when I had some more free time. Is 3 as good?
Haven't finished that one yet (stuck in the desert area) but yes, I would say so. More varied characters, more coherent storyline, and one of the most engaging battle systems I've seen. Definitely give it a go soon.
Oh and the music is just stupid good, worth playing for that alone honestly:
Ridiculously good soundtrack, seriously. Almost 300 tracks (I think?) and they're pretty much all perfect. Well, as far as GBA music goes anyway.
So much hype.

It gets quite creepy and weird, but under a sort of cutesy-silly guise. Some seriously dark themes crop up later on, though. If you didn't even finish chapter one, son you ain't seen shit yet. It gets so much more interesting when they start smashing different animals together.
Been so tempted to buy CK2 on sale but DLC fucks in hell.
Honestly did not realise there was about ยฃ100+ DLC until I bought it, very miffed about that. Don't get me wrong it's a fun game but having paid a pretty large sum even in the sale for about 1/6 of a game is inexcusable

Oh yeah, fair point. Maybe he was just tortured until he lost consciousness.
Smashing animals together sounds like the Amalgamates from Undertale
I'm actually playing that right now, too. It's pretty nice so far, I love the music and sense of humour, but it's yet to really *wow* me like it seems to have for so many. Maybe time will tell; I'm only in the Hotland as of right now.

Undertale has consumed my life and I've basically been injecting references to it in every sentence. I guess some people are more prone to this than others.
