I've walked from the Western Watchtower all the way back to Belethor's General Goods before. It's painful. So very painful.

There was also the time I got attacked by everything ever near Meeko's Shack and I used a single barrel to slowly sell everything. So many trips to Solitude. Probably like six or seven by the end of it. Stupid steel armour and its being really heavy.

Inventory is a major issue with me. I've been forced to be a lot more choosy about my loot. Especially since I'm usually carrying three staves and a naval fuckton of potions, as well as a hefty amount of crafting materials that I forget to deposit. And I have a tendency to collect pretty weapons and armour too. Glass equipment, elven, vampire, all very pretty.

... Oh, I did play a little of The Sims 2 yesterday but that's not especially noteworthy. Skyrim is probably a more entertaining house construction simulator considering Sims doesn't throw dragons at me every single time I try and gather sawn wood.

I’ve taken to only taking loot if it’s either sellable or it furthers my goals for becoming a walking god. That said, I have a weakness for Elven equipment despite owning several near-complete sets already.

I finished the main storyline today. It was shorter than I expected it to be. Now I’m working towards my goal of making my own set of Ebony weapons and Elven armor and enchanting them to the gills, and then building a house to fill with my treasure trove.

My advice would be to ignore heavy armour and instead focus on lighter loot like bows, arrows, daggers etc. If you must get heavy stuff, give them to your followers. I think there's also a Pickpocket perk called "Extra Pockets", according to the description it lets you increase your carrying capacity by 100. You can also increase Stamina (which helps you carry more, run for longer and do more 'heavy swings').

Also it's worth considering swapping to light armour for a few reasons: 1) you get to train up your light armor skills, 2) you will get more carrying capacity (plus elven armour makes you feel like Elrond!)

Just got a Teleport ability in Binding of Isaac. At first I thought it was useless but then I found a room with an item in it, which spawned a boss. Thankfully I could snag the item and teleport out

Also, you can get to the secret I AM ERROR room by teleporting. It has some free items, and you can (have to) skip the current level without the boss fight after visiting it

As you start to get better ad tBoI you'll fall into the trap of making shittones of Devil deals as you find the rooms more and more often. Don't stress out too much about that. It's a good sign of progress. All of my best runs have come from making loads of devil deals.

Also started playing Borderlands 2 with a friend, we plan on playing it through fully in co-op.
thought I saw you playing on my friends list today. thought about joining, but figured I'd mention something here since I didn't have much time to play.

you're a low level gunzerker, right? I've got my assassin at 48, but I have a low level mechromancer I wouldn't mind leveling.

I usually just stick to picking up enchanted equipment and jewellery, heavy armor I usually just leave unless it's got a sweet effect I can break down.

Don't really wanna sink perks into other areas because I need to save them for the skills I want/need to use. I've been upping my stamina a fair amount though.

Already using Elven armor; light armor just looks much better in my eyes to any of the heavy stuff.

Yep. I tend to get a lot of money by looting dead Mage Bandits as they drop those enchanted robes and staffs (staves?). Oh one thing you need to be aware of, make sure you periodically use your alchemy ingredients, otherwise you'll end up with a dozen giants toes or a ton of flowers that will weigh you down. Sell excess ingots, use the ingots to make cheap weapons to raise your smith skill, enchant them and then sell them.

Also have a serious think about whether you need all those weapons in your inventory. A sword and bow is good, but do you really need any other things like a shield, two-handed sword/axe/hammer etc. It helps you learn to priotitise things better.

My weapons inventory is currently as follows:

Elven Bow
Elven Sword
Elven Shield
Ebony Dagger
Elven Dagger (x2)
Plus a bunch of arrows.

I use the bow, sword and shield all the time, and while I suppose I could drop the daggers they’re light and fun to whip out for a finishing kill on occasion.

I don’t pick up alchemy ingredients because I don’t care about alchemy.

I have a lvl 19 Mechromancer and a lvl 9 Gunzerker, the Mechro is my main and the Gunzerker is just for fooling around, I just wanted a few achievements I missed early on the game and to try the class out but if you want to play we could maybe start from the very beginning? I kinda want to play with the new Siren, seems fun.

Hey Manco, mod recommendation: Dragon Souls for Perks. Since levelling gets so sparse later on, and there are only so many dragon souls you can spend, it means dragons continue being fruitful and you can get hold of more perks.

I dunno how vanilla you're playing, but if you're having perk problems this might help? I'm aware it probably sounds horrendously OP, but I thought it was a reasonable mod considering. I haven't used it yet, though, I am actually overstocked with perks and souls usually. Have only got about 6 shouts, only one with more than 1 word, and I am being very restrictive with my perk spending, only spending on Smithing, Restoration, Destruction and Speech.

... gah you guys have just reminded me that I still need to push through Borderlands. Friend bought me BL2 for my birthday but I'm refusing to touch it until I've completed the original. And I'm sort of wanting to play through with other people. I think my Siren's like, level 10? It's been a while since I played.

I beat Metroid: Fusion in 85 minutes today with 20% items. I thought this was pretty good until I found a guy who got it 100% in 95 minutes. I bet he's a real nerd. On an unrelated note I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now.

If you've having perk problems I feel bad for you son, I've got 99 problems but a perk ain't one.

Some of the skill trees you can leave alone if you don't particularly use them much. For example I ignore the Heavy Armour and Two-Handed skills and just focus on Light Armour and One-Handed instead, If you aren't level 81 yet then running out of perks isn't really a problem.

I'm level 23 now, getting used to fighting Mammoths and Giants now. The best way for me to kill them is summoning Frost Atronachs and pelting them with Fireballs. Managed to get some Adept spells at the Mage Guild so that's going to help me. Not enough mana for the Fire Rune spells yet.

I've been running around major cities and using "Courage" on anyone to level up my Alteration skill, I've also got the perk which gives me a pickpocket bonus if the target is asleep. Pretty handy for looting from the town guards

While Borderlands was fun (especially with the guns), the bosses were too hard (doesn't matter if I played it solo, the game should lower the difficulty if there's just one person) and there wasn't really much of a story. It was like "do this, do that, do this" zzz.

borderlands was driven by loot, story definitely took the backseat. borderlands 2 is still about shooting and looting, but the story was pretty amazing. surprisingly dark and emotional at a couple of points.

if you had trouble with the bosses in the first borderlands you were either under leveled or you made some really bad skill tree decisions.

the borderlands 2 bosses can be a bit much to solo, though. especially on true vault hunters mode.

Wait you can spend dragon souls?

I have missed this the entire game, and wondered why all the nonessential Words weren't unlocking.

Glad I could help. =p

I had my first PvP game of Smite today. Played Cupid. Got a few kills, didn't die as often as I did when I started playing League of Legends... I think having previous experience in MOBAs helps. Sad that our Ares didn't have that experience, but hey. It seems like a tougher game than LoL. About between LoL and DotA2 in difficulty and user-friendliness.

In at the end of the story quest of the Dragonborn expansion souls get a new use: they can be spent to reset and recover all the perks in a skill tree.

I beat the PSP iteration of Cave Story's normal campaign just now. It's a very cool game but the difficulty takes a bit of a leap during the final boss rush. There's just a little bit too much shit flying at you all at once. I almost beat it before on PC but accidentally entered the Hell door which is where all of the postgame content comes in. I immediately ran into some spikes and died, probably punched/slapped my monitor and yelled "FUCK YOU!" with mucho gusto.
I remember this all very clearly. I'm going to try and go for the 'complete' playthrough now. This involves ignoring the best weapon in the game which also gives you the ability to fly through 90% of obstacles once you get it and makes literally everything you fight incredibly easy, pick up an obscure item to prevent a character who gives you a life-saving tool from dying about halfway through, collecting the OTHER best weapon in the game (which requires not getting the aforementioned flyin heavy masheen gun), getting access to the super jetpack as opposed to the standard one optionally acquired on that has less flight time and ultimately take on the post-game Hell. Everyone who's played and enjoyed Super Metroid, Castlevania SOTN or anything else Metroidvania styled should try Cave Story. It's a really amazing game and the music is fantastic. I had it downloaded at some point (wayyyyyy back when I worked at the animal shelter) but lost it when one PC or another decided to crap out.

Oh cool. Was already looking forward to the Dragonborn DLC as it was, seeing as it adds some tougher fights from what I've heard. I could do with some of those, my game decided to wimp out after throwing me against two snowy saber cats below level 10 and not thrown me against anything more challenging than a blood dragon on average.

I busted out Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memorie because I never actually finished it, and because I got fed up with the story of KH3D on my super-hardmode playthrough. That's with skipping every cutscene, too. I thought it was a bit stupid the first time, but I just can't bare it now. I'm not even near the stupid ending yet.

My god did they have a great system in CoM with the cards. It was the best direction the series could have ever gone in. The system that the latest two entries use is essentially build on the idea of cards, but it favors attack-defend movement and positioning to spamming cards with high numbers on them and stacking cards to certain values only to have your AI opponent play a 0 card which beats everything.

The levels are tedious and annoying. Level grinding is a nightmare. The boss fights are fantastic. It's basically every Kingdom Hearts game but with no explorable environment and less interesting filler combat.

I'm using a deck of high level attack cards with a few high level potions and cures to the point where only bosses can cardbreak me, so it's really no wonder I'm hating the small fry. I wish I could just get to the OrgXIII bosses already.

Picked up Kid Icarus: Uprising today. It's a pretty enjoyable game with some lovely visuals on the 3DS, some of the best actually. The one problem I have at the moment is the controls. They work fine, it's just my hands kinda get tried after a while because you do quite a lot of multi-tasking. Flying is okay because the actual flying is rail based so you don't have to worry about the environment.

It's the ground levels that get me. Your shooting with the L button, aiming and also turning the camera with the touch screen and moving with the circle pad. After a while it gets a bit much for your hands. Maybe it's just me and I'll most likely get used to it.

There is a stand for your 3DS to go on which makes things so much easier, I can't imagine playing the game without it.

Oh and also, the voice lines are extremely corny. like, a field of corn, corny. Pit is talking to Palutena almost the entire time, making really bad puns and playful making fun outta each other. Bah, it's a Nintendo game, why i'm I surprised?

Anyway, it's a great game. It will surely keep me active on the 3DS until the release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf (which by the way, I am ecstatic for). E: oh and Pokemon X & Y, that's going to be amazing.

I've just been playing a game called "EnviroBear 2000 Operation: Hibernation", I found it out through Smosh games and it's really fun, it's difficult however, I almost did it but I didn't get to the cave in time to hibernate xD.

Mass Effect - Awesome, I absolutely love travelling to different planets, I don't get why I didn't get this game sooner.

Final Fantasy XIII - Average but enjoying it nonetheless. I might enjoy it more when I get further than I went on my last playthrough, which isn't far at all.

Limbo - SO GOOD. I've been waiting to get this for a while and it is so worth it.

Pokemon White 2 - Playing through it slowly but having fun so far. Having Gen 1-4 pokemon in there is gr9.

Having bought Civ 5 in the recent Holiday Sale on Steam, I was playing that last night with a pal.

And then I realised.

God damn the AI is stupid.

My automated workers travelling between two of my cities, instead of using THE DESIGNATED ROADS I BUILT THEM, decided to go through a city state I wasn't friendly with, and caused us to go to war with England and Greece. Both of which were surrounding me. And I wasn't building military. Guhhhhhhh.

Also you cannot have a quick Civ game. Painful. Fun but painful.

League of Legends has a nice sale on at the moment, so I decided to buy two new champions and skins (Morgana and Vayne), tried them out a bit. Both of them are kinda OP, especially Vayne. Who is also very fun. She's a hyper-carry both in that she's hyper-powered when played and built right, and that she's hyper-allergic to damage.
