Absolutely agree, I've been thinking about it and I've heard their new album is supposed to be similar to Strawberry Jam. Having had time to reflect on this I feel like Floridada is not much like it barring the zany speed-lyrics. Gotta say my thanks to OANST really, if it wasn't for THE BEES (re re ro ro re ro re), I'd have never gotten into Animal Collective.

This music is so weird. Both the weird psychedelic surreal thing and the spooky ghost noises in the one with the mr skeltal kid.

Animal Collective definitely isn't for everyone, but there's a certain purity of intent that makes their music beautiful even when it's cacophonous. If you really want to hear weird, try listening to their album "Here Comes the Indian." I defy you to even make it through the album once.

I listen to it all the time while working out, but even I can't really listen to it just to listen to it.

I forgot to mention that Animal Collective put out an app on iOS called Painting With that lets you paint pictures with strangers while a song from the new album plays. Once the song ends, so does the painting session, and it makes a little video of the process for you. It's free, and surprisingly fun, plus you get to hear a new AC song.

I'm downloading the Black Mesa mod after all and I remembered this song from when I played it the first time. It's a really good song. Very atmospheric.

I have a question for those whose native tongue is English: does this guy's rapping sound like proper English to you? Can you understand what he's saying?

He's a Finnish rapper who raps in English and while I do like his overall sound for some reason I just can't really understand what he's saying, and I consider myself to be pretty damn fluent in English. Hmmph. I do like the song though.
