Hey now, Ixnay on the Hombre was actually pretty good. On the other hand, that piece of shit Splinter (or whatever the hell it was called, fuck if I care) was unforgivable.
When I got my new car back in the summer, I got three free months of XM, which'll be expiring sometime soon. Gotta subscribe to that mofo, some of the stations are just too nifty to give up. Awesome quality, commercial free, genre specific programming... makes me wish I'd checked it out sooner (like back when they actually had a punk/ska channel). It's been heavenly not having to keep a stock of CDs at the ready. For anyone who's actually familiar with the Sirius/XM channel listing, I really dig Lithium (90s rock, primarily old skool, it's a surprisingly comprehensive and quality playlist), the Jam station (full Phish concerts twice a day ftw), the 24/7 Grateful Dead station, and Area (deep/prog House, the other main electronica station BPM has way too much intolerable bullshit). Hell, even if I had an mp3 player to plug into my car stereo I'd still keep listening. I don't think there's been a day Lithium hasn't reminded me to go download a track/album/discography I'd forgotten about because I hadn't heard a song in forever. Point in case: Epic by Faith No More. I don't think I've heard that on the local alternative FM station in years.
