On the subject of character details, are the Fuzzy Messes gas or balls of floating particles? I've read a good deal of this thread and I can't for the life of me work it out.

I'll take that as the latter. It may seem like splitting hairs, but the two would act very differently in certain situations.

They're particles as far as I'm concerned. And just to be awkward I really like the air-brushed ones (not that it can ever better the original

They are pixels, not gas, not particles, no scientific lore, they're in virtual form in comic strips!
They will react however the author wishes them to react for the specific situations.

Sorry. I just thought particles were the closest physical approximation. I would never attempt to make any of these characters scientifically accurate, (Mine is a crab made of trifle!) it just helps me to know what can and cannot be done to your characters. I shall take your advice and go with my gut in the specific situations.

I think the fact that I'm just making comments, rather than displaying some wondrous idea is kind of a clue

But seriously, I’m totally out of funny ideas. I think the first thing we need to do is find a way of reinstalling the universe. I had considered just making a cartoon with the background after joshkrz's first 'proper' cartoon (as in one where something actually happens) which, in the first frame, said 'Good, that cartoon proved an ample distraction for this clearly awful continuity'.

Will this thread die? Who knows. I don't really have the time to commit to making these comics right now, and Moosh has vanished... Can you guys survive on Carnix alone?
