Man, I remember the Neverhood - And I'm glad other people do too. An indie game far, far ahead of its time. A mobile phone re-release is better than none at all, and it's a sign that the people who own the rights to it these days haven't forgotten about it either.

A PC re-release would be good though considering the only way you can buy it these days is either e-bay or an obscure second hand media shop - If you're incredibly lucky. It seems to be ultra-rare and hellish expensive.

EDIT: Did you know that Klaymen wasn't actually made from clay, and instead was made from foam latex painted to look like clay? It's true!

I recently bought Rayman and installed it in Dosbox. It works like a charm. I'm very excited about Origins.

Rayman Origins looks nice and all but should a 2D game really be commanding full retail price? I mean that kind of stuff belongs on XBLA or PSN. I really wish this console gen had more 3D platformers. It's nice that developers are looking to the past for inspiration and there's a lot of creativity in these 2D games but I wish platformers would go back to being brick and mortar big budget releases with 3D graphics that showcase the hardware like they were on the 128 bit game systems. It's BS that gamess like Killzone and COD get $40 million dollar budgets but we're still waiting this whole generation on a new Sly Cooper or Oddworld.

I just found out about this, I have no thoughts of it and in no way, has it thrown me off looking forward to it.

I just hope the effort they've put into single player will make me think this was the best trilogy I've ever played in my life; both games were amazing.

I'd hate to be disappointed if they got lazy on single player to work on a multiplayer component people might use.

Still, it might please some people. Most are raging about it on YouTube, though.

Im a bit skeptical about Rayman as well, but overall Im looking forward to it, despite its price point. I also share your feelings on 3D platformers this gen, there are next to none, which makes me sad. Especially as a 360 only owner, since most of the PS3 and Wii platformers are first party, I just get shitty movie games for the most part. I do see why Killzone and CoD get those budgets while platformers do not though.

PS3 doesn't have it much better as far as 3D platformers go, its got Ratchet and Clank and that's about it. It's supposed to be getting a new Sly Cooper but it's not being made by Sucker Punch so it'll probably be like Legend of Spyro all over again and it doesn't look like Naughty Dog plans on making anything other than Uncharted on PS3 which stinks. The reason shooters get such big budgets is because they're the AAA franchises of this gen, I guess online multiplayer is responsible for making them so popular. And yeah it pisses me off that platformers always fail on Xbox no matter how good they are, it was like that on the original Xbox too.
