I haven't seen an anime that was worth watching in ages. I guess Paranoia Agent was the most recent one, but even then I couldn't bring myself to watch the entire series. It was on late, and I desire sleep.

It's too bad all the shit animes like DBZ and Naruto dominate the publicity. They only strengthen all the stereotypes that others like Paranoia Agent, Samurai Champloo, and Full Metal Alchemist to some extent, have weakened.

Also it is completely for real. I talked to the guy who owns the site at my job. He wanted to be set up for credit card processing so that he could sell his pamphlets on his site. I heart VG Cats, as if you couldn't tell from my avatar, and that strip was no exception. I had a hearty laugh at it, to say the least.

You have to give the guy credit. He comes up with a new comic, usually fully colored, pretty much every week. All of the strips deal with a particular lifestyle, meaning that the jokes won't always be outstanding, no matter how easy it is to make fun of video games. However, I'd say he's got a fairly awesome funny-to-unfunny ratio. And all for free. I say good for Scott. Good for him, indeed.

Something I've thought about was the recent South Park episode. They do have a point: Family Guy is a show that is heavily based on media refrences and quick jokes that are almost unrelated to the actual plot. I'd go so far as to say that the gags are the show's backbone. These side-jokes are so numerous and pointless (South Park's parody of the show was over in under a minute, and managed to squeeze in two unnecessary refrences to pop culture), that they take away from the main plotline.

But!

The "Freakin' FCC" song was the best thing I've ever seen.

I think contraversial ads could be helpful in some circles. It can give parents a certain level of awareness as to what their kids will be playing (because they all seem to be unable to make out the large 'M - for MATURE').
If GTA published an image of a young girl being raped by gun-wielding gang member (no pun intended), then maybe, maybe, we'll see a few less heads crammed up asses.
