I just watched The Newsroom, the new show from Aaron Sorkin. Jesus, that man can write a show. I felt tingles when the date came up on the screen and showed that it's set in the past; a very specific past. At that point, I actually thought to myself ''The man's a genius". I pretty much held my breath for the entire newscast.

It was pretty good, yeah. Some of the social interactions felt a bit forced, but that has always been true of Sorkin shows in their first seasons. Also, this is a good vehicle for Sorkin's earnestness. It worked really well on The West Wing (one of my all time favorite shows), but didn't work at all on Sunset Strip. It was hard to take seriously these people making a really bad sketch comedy show being as earnest, and deadly serious as they were. A news program that actually tries to inform the public is a different story, though.
Also, I saw Brave, and really enjoyed it. I liked it a lot more than Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles.
