I beat Driver SF, Chapter 5 onwards get extremely trippy!
I thought the mission in the video was already confusing enough!
Took me a while to figure out that you had to follow the ravens and then the game takes a twist and sort of involes time travel and you redo the part at the begining of the game with Jericho ramming you with the prison van. My brain was totally fucked! The part where you follow the ambulance and the cars begin to dissapeer totally racked my head as well!
*WARNING* VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8AxD..._order&list=UL
Just anoying that the devs bullshited us with claims of an 18 Hour+ Story mode and a rank 40 cap in multiplayer that would "take considerable time to reach". I'm already at level 33...

Alice: Madness Returns. If you enjoyed the first Alice, worth a rental. If not...Meh. Madness Returns is full of broken platforming that lead to countless deaths/throw-your-controller-across-the-room-because-you've-died-trying-to-do-the-same-thing-15-times-in-a-row frustration. The in game graphics seem to shift from being pretty to absolute garbage for no apparent reason, and the story is pretty much a non-existent convoluted mess. Which, given the title, makes sense. Sort of. I guess.

Then there's the combat. It works quite nicely. Most of the time, it's actually fun. Until you're introduced to some sort of new enemy that has some sort of mystery weakness that, unless tapped, leaves the enemy a hard hitting pretty much invincible piece of shit. It gets better later on when you get more weapons, but when you start of with just the vorpal blade, it sucks. It sucks a lot.

All of those complaints aside, I was a huge fan of the first Alice when I was younger, and have put up with all of the bad just for a chance to tear my way through this fucked up version of Wonderland again. Since it's just a rental, I don't really feel wronged, but had I paid full retail for it out of sheer love of the series [as I had planned on] I would have been pretty pissed.

At the moment i'm not playing though anything, just playing random games on TF2 and relaxing with Minecraft waiting for the update.

I intrested in playing Deus Ex, Xenoblade Chronicles and Star Fox 64 3D However i don't have a PC good enough for Deus Ex and not enough money

Haha, I just used the new trading system on Steam and traded a few TF2 items (Bill's hat, the combine-like mask for Pyro and some random weapons.) for Deus Ex: Game of The Year edition from some guy. And it's Friday, so I'll start playing it through tonight!

tl;dr - I got Deus Ex on Steam because I gave some guy a few virtual items for Team Fortress 2.

I got Space Marine and Rock of Ages.

Space Marine is a really fun game which reverses the whole cover system and replaces it with a charging melee-killing thing. It's doofy, but it's fun.

Rock of Ages is fucking hilarious. Download it now.

There's been a bunch of games lately that I want to try but that Steam isn't offering demos for. Rock of Ages and From Dust come to mind. I wonder why they only offer demos for some games.

Well it was pretty grand. I know From Dust's PC version was full of shitty bugs and framerate issues though.

I downloaded Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection which contains Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, it's a really great package for just 800MS Points which is a bonus considering that once you could only buy Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 for the same price, the emulation has some problems though.

Mortal Kombat works fine apart from graphical glitches and missing music on Goros Lair.

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 has the problem of not letting you enter kombat kodes on the VS screen, I know why this happens and I could explain why but I just really cannot be bothered.

Mortal Kombat II has the most problems though, there are plenty of graphical and sound glitches and sometimes even the frame rate messes up.

Sadly the online for all of these games is where is truely goes wrong. This is one of THE worst games I have ever played online, konnecting (sorry) to a game is already a difficult enough task, the next problem is that all of the games lag badly! I have played with people who have a good internet connection and still the games lag terribly, it's not even the case of the games running slower, I find myself being unable to actually complete combos for my characters because my button presses are too fast for the slowly running game to register. I find this problem very strange because Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (released on XBLA back in 2006 I believe) never had these problems online so I'm confused as to why it is suddenly plagued with these issues now, the online play was also better in the first release of UMK3 because you could have up to 4 players in a lobby, 2 players would fight, and 2 would spectate and the winner would play the next game whilst the loser would be put at the back of the line and had to wait for their turn, sadly when Midway went under all Midway games were removed from XBLA and the servers were shut down

So if you are looking to play all 3 games offline then it's great, but I really cannot recomend the online part of this package though a patch has been anounced.

Started playing Persona 4 a couple of days ago. I don’t normally go for JRPG-type games, but GiantBomb’s endurance run of it had me in stitches. The game just doesn’t take itself seriously at all.

I finished my third and most likely my final playthrough of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I got all the achievements (1000/1000 Gamerscore, yay!) that I missed this time whilst playing it through. It was a lot of fun and I might play it through one more time before the DLC comes out and this time, I'll go all guns blazing and massmurderer -style, haha.

I need to get into PoP: Forgotten Sands and Deus Ex 1 now.

I've started OoT 3D. I've completed the Deku Tree, which I've done about seven times before, even though I've never completed OoT. However, I'm gonna have to do it again soon as this was on my brother's copy, rather than mine which is due to arrive in the mail tomorrow.

A bit more on Rock Of Ages

after using the 360 pad and the keyboard, I'd say use a control pad. The mouse sensitivity needs too much fine-tuning and the control pad's unit deployment stuff works better on a radial menu.

that said, this is a wonderful game. The premise is that you're Sisyphus in Hades, and you're sick of rolling the boulder up the hill. So you and some friends use it to break out, and end up in Troy where you get to roll boulders against Agamemmnon, and then off to Sparta, and onwards through the medival art period where you face off against charlemagne or whatever his name is, then into renaissance, etc

It's a cross between tower defense and marble madness, really. And some heavy Monty Python undertones. So much fun.

Yeah Rock of Ages is a great little game, The humor reminds me so much of Worms and Monty Python

Anyway I started playing a few random PS2 games, I've started on Metal gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and what a epic game that is. I forgot how amazing it really is.

I've had limited internet access for a few months, so I've only been able to play games on disc that don't require any network for patching, mods and the like. So I have been playing:

StarCraft
Diablo II
Spelunky
World Worms Party
Morrowind1
Oblivion2
Dawn of War3
Age of Empires4
Black & White5
Age of Wonders

1. Morrowind without all my plugins was frankly distressing. I played it for about two minutes.
2. Ditto, but two weeks rather than two minutes :P It's still got the knack for distraction.
3. Ditto but for skins and patches.
4. Quit after a few missions when I remembered that I didn't like Age of Empires.
5. Ditto, but also because I always found B&W to be very frustrating. It had so much potential and it wound up only marginally above average.

Nice to revisit old classics.

Ironically, I didn't worry about patching for StarCraft.

But now I'm back online! Who hasn't played Portal 2 co-op yet?

Agreed. I love AoE, Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings is one of the finest real-time strategy games i've ever played. Speaking of which i've actually been playing it quite a bit recently (wow the timing is great). I ordered the Gold Edition of amazon since my version I lost ages ago. And I've also been playing Minecraft for obvious reasons.

I continue the war against MK's netcode, most of the time I lose though. So aggrivating having to wait 10 minutes to get into a match I wont get disconnected from, still its really fun.

Deus Ex hasn't captured me as much as I would have liked. Its fun, but Im just not gravitated towards it, I've just barely made it to Hengsha and have no will to finish it anytime soon. I haven't decided if I want to sell it yet or not.

Its a fine game, but I wish there were more active augmentations and much less restrictions on them, I also feel that the obvious draw towards stealth gameplay is pretty fucking stupid. Why should the game punish me for wanting to kill as many people as I want? Why do the developers decide what is best in a supposedly "open ended" game, with one of its marketing ploys being "play how you want". Honestly I feel its a stealth game under the guise of a choose-how-you-play game. Yes, I just made up that genre. Anyways, I hope to finish it before Gears 3 comes out, because there is no hope of me finishing it after that.

You can play it how you want to, but the stealth style definitely is the most rewarding, which is a bit irritating, I agree. And what do you mean by restrictions to augs? I mean, you can upgrade your sprint, jumping, cloaking and everything you basically need.

Sorry, I just like to defend the game because I really liked it, hah.

Anyways, I started going through L.A. Noire's cases again and trying to get the "5 star every case" achievement which is a pain in the ass...

You can play it how you want to, but the stealth style definitely is the most rewarding, which is a bit irritating, I agree. And what do you mean by restrictions to augs? I mean, you can upgrade your sprint, jumping, cloaking and everything you basically need.
I guess my expectations out of place, but I sort of expected to make you super human, this is more like, above average human. I was also aggravated by how you are almost forced into buying a bunch of hacking augs to get information and other stuff, I use my pre-order bonus of instant hack quite often. I just dislike that you clearly get a lesser experience if you dont play how the devs want you to, why even give the option then?

Who hasn't played Portal 2 co-op yet?
I haven't played it yet. In 3 weeks I should be available for a game. Before then I doubt I'll have much time.

I started playing El Shaddai.

It's quite, uh, something.

From what I gather, you're a man sent by God to the ancient Earth to break into a spatial rift which houses seven fallen angels and their human worshippers, in a tower surrounded by a city. The angels apparently loved Earth too much, and their human-crossbreeding has resulted in Nephilim, cutesy fluffy non-entities who feel nothing but pain at their aberrant existence. They eventually grow large and devour each other, transforming into gigantic shadowy monstrous creatures that will eventually destroy the Earth.

And also your best friend is Lucifel who is constantly talking on his mobile with God.

It's a very pretty game though! Also the combat is simple and fun, and the abstract style means it doesn't look samey at all.

I'm betting that you'll get a bit farther in and see how you can diversify the experience via Augs. The Stealth lends itself mostly to your first playthrough, in that it's 'the way to play', but once you get past a certain point you can see how being Captain combat can also work in your favour, and you won't need many Stealth related augs the second way through, because it'll become second nature.

Been quite busy with games lately. Started playing El Shaddai. It's so purty!
Also started Epic Mickey, which is a fun little platformer.
If you want an epic Mickey game you really should try Castle of Illusion, I got it over the summer and it is beautiful albeit mad hard! I played it for like two weeks straight and couldn't beat that damn bookshelf and cake level. Gotta love 16-bit games, they were usually short but so challenging they never stopped being fun. Oh but Mickey Mania makes Castle of Illusion look like a pussy game, don't play that one, too hard even for me.
