Krett's eyes flicked open as his life began to flicker before his eyes. He remembered pain, burning, and then got to a part which he didn't recognise with a slig he did. Krett shot back into reality and slipped into a state of panic as he found himself hurtling down a hall in the arms of a bigbro. In this panic Krett began to squirm and struggle free and as he slipped from the bigbros arms he immediately wished he hadn't. He was already moving at speed when he hit the floor so a few bounces and a skid were in order and he lay there dazed until the pain from his burns caught up with him.

(GROUND FLOOR)

(OUTSIDE THE CAFETERIA)

Population: Krett, Bolas (up the hall)
Tiny released a weary sigh, before Krett awoke with a start. After squirming madly and bouncing away, he was face-first on the floor. Tiny gasped.
"Poor muddy!" He balwed, lifting the mudokon again and crying his eyes out in a cliche romantic fashion.

Population: Arnie, Otto, Krik, Dionysia, Corky, Phats, Rick, I dunno
Some purple giant bug guy (Silph) kept the two out of the way with his arms. They weren't having any of it. They were too stressed out, vengeful and feeling rejected to comtemplate 'what the heck is that bug guy doing here?'

"Traitor!" Dimitrio scowled and continued to claw at her in a sissy-fight fashion. Agent bit, spat, hissed, retched, screeched and stretched to scratch at him, but someone didn't manage to slip past the luskan.

ooc: Sorry I haven't posted in a while; I kept seeing the same person posting in Mining Experience and assumed W@RF wasn't moving.

Zozo, Dripik and I have talked (very briefly, this is mostly coming from me) and come to the agreement that Agent is just being silly/annoying/pointless. She is just getting to the point of the animals in Part 7 where all she's doing is disrupting things. I'm afraid I'm strongly recalling when a certain noob crashed a train through the wall of the cafteria in part 5; it's just disruptive and only serves to stall the plot. I therefore request you either restore her to some level of sanity or remove her from the game etc etc etc, could the person who removed the stepladder from the store room last night please return it or further steps will be taken.

Enough rant, now IC.

"Perhaps not," Krik replied, "But it is your responsibility to exert authority over them. Tell them when and where to work; do some organisation! I'm sure your robot over there could help," He gestured to RG.
At about that moment a slig (Corky) approached Arnie and adressed him timidly. Krik made a 'this is your moment' type expression and leant back to see what Arnie did.

Dionysia had by now slipped to the other end of the cafeteria with but a backwards glance towards Krik to note that he was still occupied with Arnie.
Now however she turned her attention to a strange, bold creature in a silly hat, who was talking to Rick (Mola). "What on Odd are you?" She asked it casually.

Anni huddled down in a corner in the R+R which was blessedly empty. She had reached a point where she just didn't know what to do anymore. She knew she was dangerous to everyone in the factory. Nova might attack ony of the sligs, and if one of her friends saw she didn't know how Nova would react. And what would her friends do if they saw? If they saw the terrible things she could do...
She thought of trying to run away like she had intended to do when Stivik was around, but she would have to go alone; Odd, she couldn't bare that thought, to go without even Somi.

Jim stood at the bottom of the stairs for a while, wondering what to do now. In the end he concluded it would be best to keep his head down for a while, and go and do some work.

That decided, he headed towards the production lines, which by an unfortunate coincidence happened to be on fire.

IC: Silph seemed to succeed in keeping them at bay from each other, but it seemed unlikely he'd be able to console either of them, especially with no knowledge of why they were fighting...he decided to just keep a clasp on them until hopefully they calmed down.

Slash was pleased with that, and decided to check elsewhere, and learn the factory layouts a bit more. He slowly drifted off down the corridor, and smelled something...smoke? He looked at his Heli-pack, but it seemed stable. The smell came from elsewhere. He attempted to follow the scent to the Production Lines...

Out of Coffee: Writer's block. x.x;

BIC:

Mola swung around suddently, grinning like a psychopath. There was nothing he liked more than to be the center of attention. He inhaled a Herculean breath and exclaimed "Hi!" to the unusual, darkly-skinned mudokon (Dionysia). "I'm Mola! Whats your name? And how come your skins' so dark? And... ooh! Why are you so tall? Is it because i'm short? And where's the food?" He rummaged around in his satchel. "I think I had a sandwhich in here somewhere..."

The smell of smoke was even stronger. Ophelia pushed open the door to the production lines and thrust her head in, only to jerk it back once again. Smoke flooded the hallway instantly, dramatically darkening the air and stinging Ophelia's eyes. She coughed and fell back, crying "Fire! There's a fire!"

[Gretin]

OOC: I has come out from under my rock! Sorry for my long absence, though I have to say I have checked in here from time to time and part of my not posting was waiting to see what was happening with the whole fire thingy. Seeing as it seems to be going ahead, I shall react accordinglyish.

Chaos occurs in the cafeteria (illiteration rocks)

Hence why I, or rather Ralph, is making a very hasty exit XD

IC:

Ralph had been waiting for his turn to see the boss of the facility, but the noise and commotion was getting too much. He'd come back later. Walking outside the cafeteria, he heard noises coming from the area of the production lines. Walking briskly, but not hurriedly, he passed a big bro slig (Tiny) carrying some mudokon (Krett) and bawling about something, but he decided to take no notice and walked past without a second glance.

Coming around a corner he saw the smoke in the air, and stopped for a moment to take in the situation.
As far as he could tell, the smoke was coming from a doorway nearby, and there seemed to be a few people around (I'm not sure exactly who's there except Scarface the slig and Ophelia the grubb).
The strange creature (Ophelia ) had just opened the door, then retreated quickly and shouted about the fire.

Pushing past the people gathered in the area, Ralph marched into the production lines without a word. Having no need for oxygen, the smoke didn't bother him, however his enhancements to his sight didn't include an ability to see through things - he was as blind as anyone in the thick smoke.
He crouched down low to get better visibility and cautiously crawled through the room, intent on locating the source of the fire and, hopefully, a means of taking care of it - surely a facility like this would have some kind of fire prevention measures!
He had to take care, however, even though he was immune to pain he knew he wasn't immune to damage from heat. Which actually served to make his situation more dangerous, he wouldn't even know if he was being burned.

OOC: Random fact: Yes, Ralph has been "programmed" with knowledge of steef but not grubbs! Woohoo for trivial bits of backstory!

Kix: "So uh, how long have you worked here?"

"Oh yeah, about that..." Hembar started, but luckily Kix seemed to be suddenly distracted as Anni shouted and ran, the male mudokon following. Kix quickly ran off after her, saving Hembar from having to think of anything to say.
However, curiousity got the better of her and she quickly decided to follow, with a little stealth of course.

Slipping through the hallways, making use of shadows as much as possible, she quickly caught up to Anni and Jim, but not in time to figure out what was happening. She saw Anni leaving the other mudokon behind, and decided to take another way to the next level - there was no way she could get past without Jim seeing and she didn't really want to talk to him.

Exploring a little, she came across the main lifts (which by a convenient chance, had only just been repaired XD), and soon she was up on the next level. Having seen Anni before, she could easily sense where she was now and soon found the R+R room.

Entering quietly, she saw the mudokon sitting forlornly in the corner of the room.

"Hey," she said softly. Then as Anni looked up quickly, seeing the expression on the other mudokon's face she added, "I can go if you like."

OOC: I'm assuming Anni would look up if someone suddenly came in the room and said Hey Now, back to my rock. Hehe, jk, I don't intend to be so long now. I'm on here most days, so it's just a matter of getting off my lazy arse and posting.

Oh, and Splat, I'm working on getting a more detailed backstory of Ralph to you (some of it anyway, what's relevant ) soon, so if Krik feels like investigating again sometime you should have some information to go on shortly.

Cylepso glanced down at the little mud as he asked, "Your baby...?" looking adorably curious.
She laughed, “Oh, he isn’t really mine, as he is a mudling, not a slig. I’m infertile, means I can’t have babies. Good thing, other wise I would be Mums sized, and wouldn’t be able to move, not a good way to live I might add…” She trailed off, looking thoughtful. Then she shrugged, Then female smiled, and said, “Yes, anyway, he is littler then you, and can’t really speak to well. Hes my dear, baby Tuffsey!”
She smiled in fondness.

Lenny gave a small scream as he fall off Vesters head and collapsed on a dotted heap on the floor. His massive friend, concered, peered down at the slig, and asked, “You okay?”
“Me fine! What is with everyone? They all mad!” That was said shrilly and paniced, Lenny was getting way too hyped up.
Vester shook his massive skulk and said, “They are fine! See? All that yelling means they alive.”
OOC: as you may have noticed, Vester isn’t the brightest match in the candle shop.

Overjoyed Of Comebacks: Hm, this place actually returned to optimal activity.

Tell them when and where to work; do some organisation! These words of Krik were advice at least, instead of criticism. And it made sense to Arnie: exercising control over things is the best way to keep things running as good as possible.

He turned to the Slig standing next to the table. Even though he was recounting the usual welcome speech, he couldn't ignore the throbbing in his temple, which was getting stronger. "...uh, right. So, I guess you're here for a job. Do you have any special skills or..."

But he had to break off, because he noticed a distraction coming from the counters. The noise of the fighting couple penetrated his eardrums, amplifying the nasty throb. "What's going on...?" As he said this, one of the fiercest throbs struck him; his sight was momentarily obscured by the veins thickening in his eyes because of the sudden blood surge.

He steered back quickly to his normal state, but somehow uttered a few words in a rather gruff voice, which he barely heard himself. "RG... Go and sort them out."

RG and #7 Slig looked at him simultaneously in a near-comical way: the latter in bewilderment, the former in admiration. After a few seconds, #7 Slig asked. "Sort them out...?" But RG cut him off. "With pleasure, Boss." With that, the robot set off towards the fighting group. #7 Slig followed him with his eyes, then turned back to Arnie, who took a great sigh with his eyes closed, then turned back to them, looking normal but a bit confused at the same time.

"Oh, you don't need to look for that sandwich if you want to eat. We've got plenty of Scrab Legs here, on the counter behind..." Rick told Mola, but then he noticed the fighting group not too far from them and Dionysia. He eyed them with uncertainty: should he go over and help? It seemed that the Luskan (Silph) was trying to separate them, but he didn't seem to succeed in doing so.

To top all of it, RG was coming in the direction of the group, rifle hoistered and two deadly arms free. This sight was bad news to Rick in itself; a rather scary experience, even from the eyes of an outstander.

RG walked up to Silph and the two Sligs with clattering footsteps. He spoke to the Luskan. "If you don't mind, organic, I'll intervene." With that, he launched his right arm towards Dimitrio's wrist, aiming to get a firm grip on it and to pull the Slig away.

Tiro beamed and nodded up at Cylepso briskly, then heard the yowling brawl a while away from him. Agent was scrapping with Dimitrio. Well...Best leave it. He didn't want to get Cylepso involved in another fight.
"Y'know, I think some people are a bit kooky around here..." He couldn't help but look towards Agent.

After some brief seconds of clawing at eachother whilst restrained, Dimitrio grew weary. He just didn't have as much stamina, muscle power or raw determination...Giving up, he stared blankly as she kept on trying like a fuzzle, but was too restrained by the luskan (Silph) to do anything.

"Why are we fighting...?" He whinged as she managed to almost scratch at his mask. She paused for a moment, and actually thought about what she was doing. Her cold mask showed no expression, but there must of been something in her face...Too bad he didn't have z-ray vision.
"Dimitri...?" She choked in a faint terrified whisper. It dawned on him. Something wasn't right. The bullet scar she had tossed clues and mystery about. He didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"..A-are you al -" a robotic voice (RG-49) and her sudden looking upwards cut him off.
"If you don't mind, organic, I'll intervene." They both screamed like children when something cold and metal clasped onto Dimitrio, flying them both into a thrashing panic.

IC: Silph nodded to the peculiar robot, and focused both arms on the other Slig, attempting to pin both arms to its sides.

Slash arrived at the Production Lines to find some of the equipment on fire, smoking badly, with a number of other employees in distress. he shook his head, before thinking. With enough help, it shouldn't be hard to put out. If there was a fire alarm anywhere, he was sure it would have gone off by now. He raced back to the cafeteria for back up.
Arriving there, he hovered in the doorway to make his announcement "Everyone, quiet please! There appears to be a fire in the Production Lines! I will need assistance to put out the blaze before further damage is inflicted. We need a large water source, or anything else that can cover flames. Is there anyone here who can assist?"

Ophelia opened the door slowly, and recoiled when she felt another blast of heat hit her like an avalanche. She winced and crept off to the side; she knew she would just get in the way of those trying to stop the flames.

Out of Coffee: Hmm, i've been waiting for a chance to bring one more character in. I won't rush to bring any more in cuz' I don't want things to get too chaotic. (It'll save your brain hours of misery if you just skip the apperance description and click the link. ;D)

Age: 21 in human years
Appearance: Lean, with pale skin and unstitched lips. She wears a striped black and purple pageboy hat that’s always pulled down, hiding her eyes, and has solid white headphones. Her horns are pierced with lime green studs at the top, and purple studs at the bottom. She wears a form-fitting black sleeveless hoodie with a white heart surrounded by lime green flames, a pair of frayed jeans that are knee-length w/ a coal-grey skirt over it (its more like a loincloth; the sides are cut so her legs can stick out.) She also wears striped purple and black knee-length socks, though the very bottoms are cut out so that she doesn’t slip and slide all over the place. Overall she looks like a punk who takes joy out of kicking puppies and scaring preschoolers.

Personality: She is a punk who likes kicking puppies and scaring preschoolers, and she’ll let anybody know it. She’s anti-social and hates being the center of attention, and gets into fights easily. She has a tendency to get very physical when under pressure. In her opinion, every cloud has a silver lining, and its her job to obliterate it.
Equipment: Her metal backpack, which is packed with 300 pounds of compressed mustard gas. It has a thick nozzle connected to a hose on one side so that she can fire it at will (it looks like a normal backpack, exept for the bazooka-like weapon on the side). In her pocket is a foldable gas mask, about the size of a wallet, that she just flips out and sticks on her face when she uses her gas launcher. She also has a white walkie-talkie.
History: She lived for a while as an average intern aboard an airship, but with one problem: she was the only female of any intelligent race on the entire craft, and wore the same kind of clothing she wears now (“I CAN’T WEAR A %@&*ING SPEEDO, I’M A @&!#ING GIRL!”). Being the only female aboard granted her strange looks from nearly everyone, and when she wasn’t being talked about behind her back, she was being hit on by whichever intern happened to be around. After awhile she kind of snapped, and she went from being ‘That Intern Chick’ to ‘That Psychotic Beat-You-With-A-Rubber-Hose Scary Woman’ who everyone hid from. If she got yelled at, she yelled right back. If somebody shoved her, she’d knock them out. She earned a nasty reputation with pretty much everything she did, and eventually, to her relief, she was fired. She got a job for an important but top secret organization practically run by outcasts and weirdos like herself. All her ‘missions’, as they’re called, are extremely hush-hush, and only hours of prying and withstanding insults will get her to tell anybody anything about it.

The gothic-punk intern watched rather uninterestedly as the misshapen building rose in the distance like a monument to concrete, blocking her view of the sun. She frowned. It seemed like such a wasted effort to try and make the building dramatic when it was already so damn ugly.

She turned up the volume on her headphones, concentrating on the music, when suddently her walkie-talkie rang. She groaned and made a huge effort to turn off the music, pick up the stupid ringing thing, and turn it on.

"What?"

"Gzz! Skelter, is that you?"

"Odd, you think so?"

"Gzz! You need to sort out your anger management issues, woman." The voice hissed. "Is the target in sight?"

Skelter frowned; the building was startlingly imposing, not exactly something you wouldn't notice. "Yeah."

"Good. Just finish the job quickly. Remember, the faster you do it, the faster you can get back."

"And run more of your stupid errands?"

"Exactly."

The train ground to a hault, dumping her in some dull station just oozing with depression. Crossing her arms, she slumped against a wall and waited for further instructions.

Great, now what's Dionysia supposed to do now Mola's walked off in the middle of thier conversation? It's sort of polite not to do that Moosh since its troublesome for anyone who gets walked away from, unless thay've not posted in a long time.

Dionysia stood, somewhat blown away by the sudden rush of questions directed at her from the thing she had been trying to intimidate, but she was saved from the situation when it seemingly lost interest in her altogether and ran off to get one of the scrab legs left over from breakfast before running out of the cafeteria.
This doing nothing to dowse her ever-volatile temper, she sauntered over to stand in a corner waiting to verbally pounce on the next unfortunate inhabitant to enter the cafeteria. She hadn't really made much impression on anyone since she slapped that slig onto his back the day she arrived; it was a rather depressing thought, especially as a certain other slig had been around at the time, and the thought of him made her wince and added fuel to her unpleasant mood.

The next slig to arrive unfortunately happened to be flying, and also called attention and announced that the factory was on fire.
This was not turning out to be a good afternoon.

Jim was also having a troubling day. Just his luck the one time he was prepared to do some work the place happened to be on fire. The black-skinned mud - 'mudokon' he ought to say, he reminded himself - who had helped him with Anni when she had been injured the day before walked past him like a robot into the room from which the fire was issuing. Jim tried to call out for him to stop, but it made no difference. Was the guy insane?

Being a rather decent sort of chap however (at least when not experiencing one of those infamous panic-attacks), Jim could not just let a fellow mudokon barbeque himself, so he rushed through the door into the production lines and yelled out, "Hey, what are y-" The end of the sentence was cut off as he broke down into coughing from the smoke, but still he managed to stagger forward, his eyes smarting. Fire seemed to be sprouting from just one of the machines and the others were, as far as he could tell, still chugging along innocently, being designed to cope with high levels of heat (some glukkons didn't seem to think mudokons needed any sort of ventilation, no matter how hot the machinery in a room became). He had lost sight of the other mudokon in the smoke so he tried yelling again, "Where are you? R-Rolf?" Cough, cough, splutter, cough. (ooc: not sure if Ralph told Jim his name for Jim to forget, but nevermind)

Somehow running away from here would feel like giving in, Anni reflected and instantly hated herself for it. How could she think of Nova like that? How long had she been thinking of her as an enemy? She shuddered at the thought.
The sound of another voice very near to her made her jump and look up with a start; she hadn't even noticed anyone else come into the room. She looked up quickly and her eyes met with those of the mudokon she had met outside earlier. The older female, evidently noticing her unease, told her, "I can go if you like."

Anni lowered her head again and did not answer. What did it matter? It wasn't like she was going to tell this woman anything if she stayed.

Judging by the vein pounding in his temple, Arnie was getting annoyed. Krik wondered how much of this was his doing, but for a second (before the fight had broken out at any rate) it had seemed the boss of Rupture Farms was actually taking his advice to heart, but then Krik did have a way of controlling people; if his early success and narrow dodge from the kitchens of Skillya hadn't gone far enough to prove that then his control over Dionysia certainly left no doubt.

Careful not to push Arnie over the edge, he said gently (but not without aurthority) "I hope you see the importance of keeping closer control over these scuffles. Certainly I respect your obviously cost-effective decision to spare the lives of troublesome employees," (referring of course to mudokons) "but-"

But what remained a mystery due to the flying slig bursting in announcing that the production lines were on fire. Krik glanced up at Arnie and wondered if he had time to seruptitiously duck beneath a table.


ooc: Jim's really developing a personality beyond his phobia of sligs. Now the phobia's starting to get in my way of taking him where I want to. It would just seem too... cute to have him get over it suddenly.

IC: Phats who was quit calm stayed by his master's side. Drooling and scratching himself. Corky on the other hand was still pretty nervous. "Um..yes...Boss" Corky replied. But as soon as he was going to continue he also looked back at the couple fighting. He turned back at Arnie but stepped back. 'I can't do this!' He screamed in his mind. He looked at Arnie again and was a little surprised by the way he was acting. "Are you ok...Boss?" He twitched a bit.

Roy stood up from were he was sitting. He looked around the hall way seening if there was anything he might of missed. He dusted off and began walking through the halls. He rubbed his wash cloth. He stopped by another meat grinder. Roy just sighed and got to cleaning the non-working bloody grinder. Of course he started from the bottom but didn't wanna get near the top. The sharp blades were covered with dried up blood. Roy didn't wanna be the grinder's next victom so he didn't clean the top. He moved away from the grinder for a minute.

[Gretin]

After a short look around lower down, Ralph spotted the machine that was on fire, but he reasoned that the first course of action would be to shut down the other machines. Knowing that the fire was restricted to one area, he moved much more confidently and swiftly to the end of the room where he found the control switch - it was already off?

Operating on a hunch, he pulled the lever to the on position. No effect, as he'd expected, but now what would happen if he pushed it off again?
Pushing the lever back to where it was before, he looked around, but still nothing had changed.

"Damn it!" he growled, bashing the panel with his fist, and sending a spark flying. His eyes followed the spark to the ground, then he slowly looked at his hand. Wonder if I can still get this to work...he thought, turning back to the panel and putting his palm against it. He focused all his concentration on it, not noticing the voice at the other side of the room calling, and at length more sparks seemed to appear between his hand and the panel. But this time, he heard something... The distinctive sound of machinery shutting down.

Good, he thought, now for the fire itself.

He turned around and only just realised now that the mudokon (Jim) had been trying to call him.

Not recognising him through all the smoke he marched up to him, ironically asking the same question the other had asked only moments before, "What are you doing?"

Seeing Anni's response to her offer, Hembar stayed right where she was. She looked around the room slowly, then she moved a hand up, facing toward herself. Instantly there was a small glow in the feathers adorning her clothing, and then they faded away to invisibility. Just in case I'm seen by someone else, she thought, it's probably a little conspicuous with that sort of clothing.

Then, turning back to Anni, who of course with her head down, would have seen nothing, she said slowly, "Look, I know you have no reason whatsoever to trust me in any way at all. And I wouldn't blame you if you decided not to say a word to me. But you seemed troubled, and I'd like to help. And I'll be honest with you, it may help me too. Are the sligs really that bad here?"

OOC: Obeekay, I'm going away for the weekend to my girlfriend's place and unfortunately online access there is decidedly offline, so I'll see if I can post tomorrow (Friday), but if that's not possible you won't be hearing from me till Monday. I won't delay any longer than that, though. Well, hopefully, but you know my reputation I don't have any reason to procrastinate at the moment though, so all is well

About that time Anni recalled how terrorists might attack this place if she thought the sligs were horrible, and this woman was a native after all. She should probably defuse that issue, even if it meant exposing her lie. "It's not the sligs; they're mostly ok here. There was one horrible one but he left."

She left it at that, still having no inclination to say more.

ooc: Sorry for my rather long absence. The move between the states and Thailand was a bit more time consuming than I thought it was going to be. Any way, I'm back.

ic: Ark awoke with a sharp burning pain running through his leg. He had a brief panic, wondering where he was, before realizing that he dozed off on top of the pipes on the ceiling. He figured that his leg must of slipped onto a hot pipe, or something.

With a sigh of relief he saw that a swarm of bug was still fighting over the piece of meat he had left there. Scooping up a hand full of the bugs, he placed them in his bag, and closed it tightly. Then, with five blurs of his tongue, he snatched up a decent meal from the scurrying mass.

"Huh, I wonder how long I was asleep for?" he muttered to him self, while hosting him self down from the pipes. He looked around the passage, no one was around. The bug wiggled in his bag, reminding him that there wasn't a lot of meat for them in there.

"Right, to the Cafeteria," he said to the empty corridor. He start walking at brisk pace down the hall.

RG made a proper entrance into the fight between the fighting Sligs (Agent, Dimitrio): they both started panicking when the robot gripped Dimitrio's wrist. Unconcerned of the Slig's efforts to break free, RG pulled him away from the female Slig, who was restrained by the Luskan (Silph). He lifted Dimitrio up by his arm to face him; his orange-glowing optical sensors (a.k.a. eyes) met the vizors of the Slig. "Calm down, organic, or I shall take the place of the female Slig as your opponent." He raised his free arm, his hand forming a metallic, spiked fist. "Not a promising foresight."

Right after he said this, the flying Slig Slash came into sight. He hovered in the Cafeteria door and announced that the Production Lines were on fire. RG looked around instantly; so did Rick nearby. The robot's reaction was quite fast. He addressed Dimitrio again. "I hope you don't mind if I take you along." With that, he ran off towards the exit, with Dimitrio still dangling from his hand.

Rick only realized what had happened when RG disappeared around the corner of the exit. "Fire?... But I've just left that place a few minutes ago!" he claimed, setting off towards the Production Lines himself.

#7 Slig, returning to reality from his daydreaming, looked around. Slash was hovering at the exit; RG and Rick ran out from the Cafeteria. "Did I hear Slash saying 'fire'?" He asked the people around him in general. The new Slig (Corky) didn't seem too certain about the proceedings. #7 Slig looked at Krik instead, who seemed a bit nervous for some reason, and was eyeing Arnie. Finally, #7 Slig looked at Arnie. The Glukkon seemed to be staring at Slash, apparently dumbfounded; his mouth was slightly open, and a vein was pulsing rather violently in Arnie's temple, which #7 Slig didn't notice before.

...Then the Glukkon suddenly leant forward with a pained growl, his eyes shut closed. #7 Slig swallowed hard. Something was clearly wrong with Arnie, although the he had no idea what the problem could be. He remembered the last occasion when Arnie lost control of himself: he practically went crazy when Jammer shot a Mudokon in the leg - not to mention other reasons.

He quickly turned to Krik. "...What happened to him?" he asked the Vykker, hoping that he'd have an idea, seeing as he was a doctor and all.

IC: Corky stepped back again. He had no idea what was going on or what was happening to Arnie. His hands began to twitch but he still had a good grip on his gun. Phats was whimpering beside him. He was as confused as Corky. Corky watched as Arnie leant forward in pain then close his eyes. He stared at Arnie for a couple seconds then also looked at Krik. Seeing Mudokons in pain pleased Corky and was quit enjoyable but a Glukkon was a different story for him. He never saw a Glukkon in this much pain before. Phats now stayed quiet close to Corky. 'We have to help him.' He thought worried for Arnie.

Now walking away from the grinder Roy continued down the hall ways. He had no idea what was going on in the Cafeteria. Cleaning was the only thing that was on his mind at the moment. "I need to get this wet again." He thought. Feeling the rag in his hands. He then stopped at a Slog hut that was against the hall. He quickly stopped in his tracks. He swallowed then walking slowly to the vacant Slog hunt. Hoping there wasn't any Slogs in the hut. He walked to the hut's side and began scrubbing.

Skelter wandered through the building, looking rather unamused. As much as she agreed with the organization that she worked for, she absolutely hated her job, and was starting to wish she had just kept her job working on an airship. At least things there would have remained normal. Well, normal enough for her taste, anyway.

She kicked open a door at random, not even bothering to see where it led, and turned up the music on her headphones. The punk rock was so loud that it now echoed off the walls. She smirked and stepped inside the room, jumped down a flight of stairs, and ended up on a floor that looked exactly like the one before. 'What a dump,' she thought.

"I wouldn't have chosen the interior," Skelter said to nobody. "The 'dreary and sinister look' isn't working out."
She pulled her hat down lower so that it completely covered her eyes before pressing on. Eventually she came to a large chamber that she took to be the cafeteria; it had food at least. She crossed her arms and slouched against the doorway with a dramatic yawn.

Sorry for the quickie where nothing really happens, I was gonna have Skelter talk to some people but I just ran out of time and have to leave. Sorry peoples~

Krik glanced at #7; "I believe the term is stress. If I were you I'd go and find your boss a box of chill pills. There's a rather stupid intern around here somewhere who should be able to help."
He turned his attention to Arnie, "Sir, I suggest you try and calm down a touch. One slig has burst in shouting doom and disaster but until you know how bad the problem is, and knowing sligs it could be nothing more than a burnt fuse giving off sparks, and until it is sorted out it would be wise to try and keep a clear head. Do your duty to your factory and stay calm."

Krik hardly felt he was responsible for stopping any glukkon from going on a bloody rampage - it hardly made use of his skills as a biologist - which may have been why he suggested chill pills rather than something safer.

In the mean time, Dionysia had decided to go and check out this fire but as she made to enter the door she bumped into an intern girl just coming into the room. "Hey, watch wehre you're going!" She barked, pushing the intern back.

IC: Ark rounded a corner, listing his agenda in his head, 'Get more food for my food, find #7 slig, figure out what in Odd's odd name I'm suppose to be doing.' over and over again.

He looked up, and saw the dark female mudokon he had meet before bump into an intern. Something puzzled him about her though, the only other female mudokon he had meet was a lot taller than any mud and was also lighter built. Though vykkers came and studied her frequently as well. He decided to ask her about it.

As he raised his hand to say hi to them he saw that the mudokon looked angry. 'Right maybe I'll ask later' he thought as he quickly sliped past the door.

"Well this doesn't look good," Ark said as his eyes fell on Arnie.

Ralph could barely make out what Jim was saying, but he thought he got the gist of it.

"Well, I think I had a better chance in here than you, I'm not the one struggling to get even one sentence out!

But I've done all I can for now, unfortunately I don't have a built-in fire extinguisher and I can't see one here, though it's pretty hard to see anything through all this," he waved his hand through the smoke, as if it wasn't already obvious what he was talking about.

"So I agree, let's get out of here," he grabbed hold of Jim's arm and (probably more forcefully than he intended) half lead half pulled the other mudokon out of the smoking room.

"They're mostly ok?" Hembar sounded surprised. Normally a place like this would be littered with sligs, very few of whom would have even the tiniest trace of niceness in them. This place was very strange, the employee count itself was fairly low, but the fact that most of the few sligs that were there were ok came as a bit of a surprise.

She was quiet for a moment, but then she decided to try to change the subject. Anni probably wouldn't want to talk about anything, but she could only try.

"So how'd you end up working in a dump like this? she asked, then added, "a dump in the nicest possible way of course."

[Moosh da Outlaw]

Skelter yawned and looked around. 'I should find whoever owns this place,' She thought dully, turning to enter the cafeteria. Suddenly somebody bumped into her (Dionysia) and barked "Hey, watch where you're going!"

Skelter bared her teeth; she didn't take orders from stuck-up brats. "You'd better watch yourself, unless you wanna end up with a lot less teeth." She growled, sizing her up. She was in a bad enough mood as it was without throwing some mudokon punk into the mix.

Mola army-crawled under a nearby table and curled up, wimpering. If Ophelia caught him, he'd be majorly screwed. He sat there for a few seconds, shock-still with fear, before reaching out from under the table, grabbing a handful of whatever food was in reach, and stuffing it in his mouth.

Meanwhile Ophelia had left the scene of the fire; she didn't want to get in the way. She remembered Mola, and muttered under her breath "When I get ahold of that little grubb I swear i'm gonna..."

She stepped into the cafeteria, making sure to step around a mudokon and an intern who seemed to be in some sort of quarrel, and glanced around. Mola was nowhere to be seen, but she had a feeling that he was near; he was a bony little thing, able to hide in small places most grubbs couldn't fit in. Ophelia tapped a nearby slig on the shoulder (Cylepso). "Excuse me, have you seen a grubb around here? He's small, thin, has a stupid hat, and has probably flooded everyone in this room with questions..."


Out of Coffee: Cylepso is still in the cafeteria, right?

"Oof, I'm scared!" Dionysia bit sarcastically; "Seriously, I'm gonna run off and hide. Who are you, president of the Vykker's Conglomerate?" She was more than ready to put any intern in its place; stupid creatures ought to know where they belonged in the industrial heirarchy.

Jim felt him being (somewhat unnecessarily) from the burning room. As soon as he was clear of the smoke and had gotten his breath back, he yelled, "Are you completely insane, going in there like that? You're lucky you weren't killed! What's wrong with you?" His voice was hoarse from the smoke, his eyes were red and he was not in the best of moods having just risked his own skin for this guy who was clearly either suicidal or totally off his rocker.

"Well I used to work in this place run by a load of vykkers," Anni said, a slight impatience in her voice, "But I hate vykkers so they sent me here instead."

OOC: Yo. At Moosh, yep, Crazy Cylepso is still in the Cafeteria XD

Cylepso mind began to doze off, thinking to when she was back at Vykker Labs 04, when she first met Debbie. She gave a "huh?" as someone tapped her on the shoulder and asked, "Excuse me, have you seen a grubb around here? He's small, thin, has a stupid hat, and has probably flooded everyone in this room with questions..."
She was about to reply, when she relised the speaker was a Grubb. The Grubb was tall, with a strange array of red cooured clothes. She was quite pretty, by Cylepsos standered anyway, with silver eyes, and long dark eyelashes.
Cylepso, have noticed she was staring, hasitily said, "Opps, sorry, I haven't seen one of you before..." The female slig grinned sheepishly, then said, "Uhh, sorry, no, I haven't....Well, would you like me to help you look for him? I don't really have anything else to do, so yeah."
She shifted around, then blinked and offered her pink-nailed hand, saying, "Oh, my name is Cylepso, by the way."

[Moosh da Outlaw]

Ophelia shook Cylepso's hand. "I'm Ophelia." She said, smiling. "I'd really appriciate the help. I need to find him before he runs off and kills himself."

While this was being said Mola was slowly sneaking under the tables, careful not to make a sound. He wove around chairs and carefully crept behind a trashcan near the wall, his mouth still stuffed with food.

Skelter frowned. "I might not be a vykker, mud, but that don't mean I don't like to cut things apart." She eyed the mudokon (Dionysia) critically, and a faint chuckle entered her voice as she leaned forward and said "Shouldn't you be cleaning a floor somewhere?"

IC: Ark was just standing a little ways from the door, wondering what to do, he really didn't want to be between an angry Glukkon and its problem. He didn't think any one really noticed him yet, almost every one was either looking at Arnie or a flying slig near by.

Now that Ark thought about, he found it odd that all the sligs here didn't treat Mudokon like mud.

His thought were interrupted by the intern(Sketler) saying, "I might not be a vykker, mud, but that don't mean I don't like to cut things apart. Shouldn't you be cleaning a floor somewhere?". He found the comment strange, then it hit him as to why.

'A talking intern? A talking female intern?!'. More over it was threatening a Mudokon, "Magog Cartel must hate Arnie or something. After all, they sent me here only after they deemed me useless," Ark whispered to himself.

Making up his mind he turned around, knowing that he would regret this, and said to the two girls, "I don't thing one labor race should insult another". After all, who wanted to confront a piss off Gluk.

OOC: Right, just wanted to post something that said a lot of nothing, before I went to bed.

Darkness and pounding... This was all Arnie could sense. His surroundings, the factory, the people around him all disappeared - the world have been reduced to the size of his skull. The radical change was so sudden, so abrupt that the Glukkon didn't even realise it. His state swept away all the questions he had: 'Who am I? Where am I? What happened?' He just kept listening to the pounding and watching the darkness in his head.

Another experience came to his attention after an uncertain period of time. The darkness he saw was trembling: with each pound came a wave of greyish figures, only to disappear quickly. This phenomenon caught his interest and induced vague flashes to substitute the greyish figures he saw every few seconds.

Instead of the ghostly shapes came creatures of different kinds. Some were yellowish with red eyes, others had greyish green skin and were taller, and others had numerous limbs and a large head. Somehow they seemed familiar to him, yet he didn't know or recognise any of them. These creatures were unaware of him - he wasn't sure if he was part of their world - and looked rather uncertain. Helpless, maybe. They looked at each other one by one, taking tentative steps at random. Listening to an instinct which seemed to come from a different dimension, Arnie wanted to help them somehow: to give them instructions so they could find their right place in the darkness around them.

But before he could even estimate the possibility of such an act in his current state, the figures turned on each other. Limbs flailing and mouths opening, the shapes began to fight - to Arnie's shock. The figures were twirling around fervently, colours merged and shapes distorted, and they finally ended up in a patch of violent red, closely followed by an unsettling noise - like machinery close to overload. Arnie didn't know what happened to the figures, but he wanted all of it to stop. The noise became louder by every pound, and the red patch took the form of lines, branching from each side of his sight.

Then suddenly, after the noise reached its peak, his eyes popped open and his conscience returned to the Cafeteria. The noise stopped - he wondered what was the source of it. But the red lines were still there: each vein in his eyeballs thickening and slackening with each pulse of his heart. He stared in front of himself, steering his thoughts back to reality.

...yet he felt that something dissappeared with the colourful figures. But he welcomed it.
