No drippy i meant why did the Empire use stormtroopers (i.e. Blokes in suits) and the trade republic or whatever it was called use robots? because if the technology was around why didn't they use it?
Well, I have an idea for that. The Trade Federation is leaded by the Neimoidians. These creatures are cowardly, they are not soldiers. So they built a factory where they're creating fearless Battle Droids, Droid Starfighters, Destroyer Droids, MTTs, AATs and many more.
What it is was that Palpatine created droids through the Trade Federation because he was testing his power. I read somewhere that Palpatine started out using machines but they failed him so he stuck with Clones. But the droids failed in the battle of Naboo. Now he is useing Clones as his army to take over the Galaxy. The Clone Troopers will become the Storm Troopers. It is Palpatine who is controling the Republic and he is behind all the doings of the Trade Federation and Sepertists. He is Darth Sedious they are the same person.
The reason why the technology is so modern in the Prequels is because this is takeing place in a time when civil war is not breaking out. The technology in this time is more of the chrome shiny look because the Republic rules the galaxy. You can say its more rich like. When the Empire comes war begins and the technology is not so pretty and more clunky because of war and the limited supply of technology. We are talking about thirty years from the time of Episode 1 to the time of Episode 4. Two very different time periods. If you notice that as the prequels get closer to Episode 4 the technology is starting to show signes of that type of technology. Episode 3 will be the bridge that connects the two trilagies together. Lucas said that there are going to be very surpriseing things in the next film that will relate much like Episode 4 in the most amazeing ways. He told us we are going to be surprised.
