I agree that humans have reached an impressive evolutionary level, but I think it's caused an imbalance in the world's ecosystem. Our power can be intoxicating, but unlike other animals, we have to exercise some kind of restraint if we're going to keep this world a beautiful place to live in. If we always believed that might equals right, there would be chaos.

Do you want the world to be apathetic? I think the problem is that people become defensive whenever an issue like whaling is presented, because they feel someone is attacking their lifestyle. I'm just presenting the problem and leaving it up to you to do something about it if. Perhaps the problem is that there's no immediate reward?

First you advocate commercial whaling, because you say it's "good," then you accuse the vegetarians who posted in this thread of eating ugly fish and being hypocrites. Just because you can see the reasoning in only killing ugly animals, doesn't mean we follow the same reasoning.
