Eterrnal life in Heaven through Jesus' death for our sins, not life on earth forever. Life on earth forever would be boring, i think. As they say, death is but the next great adventure for the well organized mind.Heaven is in the immortal words of Keanu Reeves"Bitchin'"

This pagan goddess Easter then is associated with the giving of life, the regeneration of life in the spring, the giver of the fertile state to all creatures.
Ishtar: So THAT'S where my name came from...hmmm *wanderings off thinking*

Oh dear...I hope she doesn't get any 'ideas'...*runs off after her*

How altruistic of him.
That still doesn't explain why he had to die for 'our' sins. Why couldn't sinful people die for their own sins?

Wait a minute. If Jesus died for our sins then him being resurected should mean that we now have to die for our own sins! The selfish bastard!

On a related note, how many times did Jesus die and what is his surname?
