I feel sickened. The thing that I feel the most is an overwhelming sense of guilt: When I first heard that "There've been some terrorist attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon", my first thought was [and looking back I feel ashamed] 'good on em', thinking it was a small-scale anti-capitalist attack.

Then I learned of the sickening scale of these attacks, and that they were probably by Iraq, and that they might lead to a war, and I felt gutted. I can't help reminding myself that WW1 was started by a terrorist attack smaller than this...

Also, if you think about it, Bush seems to have been waiting for an excuse to start a war, and when he finds out who did this, no-one's going to try and stop him from exacting revenge...

To depress people even more, I thought I'd mention that tragedies like this happen all too often, but that it's only when it happens to America that it makes world news...

that problem is that it will be very hard to retalulate against those who had done this...even if we find out who they were. This is mainly because terrorist groups are not necessarily tied to any one nation and/or country....

I hope the ones that are responsible burn in hell....

to Joe: in the less-disrution-the-better sense, it's good that Bush's alive. but in the not-break-the-Kyoto-treaty-and-piss-eveyone-off sense, it's a trajedy he didn't die.

I can't understand this! How can they do this? They must feel ashamed for this... i saw it on every channel. I'm still watching the terrible news on the TV and see every minute how the World Trade Center falls into a debris. I got a message: this moment of silence message is dedacated to the thousands of innocent people who died in the horrible incident. take a moment to reflect and then please foward this message to 5 people so they can feel what you feel and dont break the chain

I wish that this will end...and not begin again. I hope it won't turns into a war!

It's so horrible to think that anyone could do such a thing to so many people. Not only did they hit the World Trade Center, but they hit the Pentagon and crashed 5 miles off Pittsburg.

They think that the one in Pittsburg was heading for Liberty Hall. But he crashed early because fighter jets would have shot him down any way. I think he just figured he was going to die not matter what and just ended his life, but in the process he ended other people's as well.

Why do people do things like this? Why do some people find it neccesary to end the lives of others. It scares me to think that another war is going to happen.

All theme parks, malls, state and goverment buildings have been closed down. Not to mention all Cal Universitys have cancelled classes. And you know that they have huge security on all Major cities.

Truth be told, I'm so scared that they might crash somewhere near L.A or near my town. I even more scared they might crash where someone I know lives.

Gawd, this things on every channel, every group I'm in. It's a world affair. It's on the Japanise channels! What is with all the killing, it doesn't lead to anything. The worst part is is that the people who died did nothing to be killed for, they were just killed because they were doing their job and working at the WTC

I feel so sorry for the families of the people that died. Those people went to work thinking it would be just another day at the office, wondering what was for dinner, some of them couldn't wait to see thier spouses, and then in an instant, their life ends for no justifiable reason at all.

*sighs* It's so sad! I kept thinking "What if you were just walking those street, to the store and you see the plane going down. First you think it's nothing, then in a split second it collides with the WTC and your just standing there in pure shock. Then another plan crashes into the other tower and they start to collapse. Then you run as fast as you can, but not fast enough and your engulfed by the black smoke and stuggling to breath, or you get smacking in the head with a chunk of metal.... Its sad. Here the pic I made in honor of the dead people:

This is so horrible...I'm still kind of numb...It's so wrong. But I just want to say that as far as we know, only 4 planes were hijacked, not 8. This is such a horrible event...

It's horrendous, we just don't expect things like this to happen. I'm still having trouble taking it all in, the death toll is going to be horrific.

It's such a shame that people need to end innocent lives to communicate their ideas. I too, was repulsed when they showed footage of Palestinians celebrating the deaths of thousands of people. It's inhuman. The scale of this thing is enormous.

I hope Pinkhaired is alright. So if you're around Pink, let us know!

I'm really freaked out by this... it scares me as to what has happened, and saddened how such innocent lives were lost in this attack. Why are terrorists so heartless to make victims of everyday people like all of us.

I found out last night when I was coming home from seeing the FF movie (again). Then when I was just about to get home and they said about the attack on the Pentagon too.

I'm also freaked out by the fact that I could have been in the US at this time. Because the Xbox was coming out in November I thought maybe I would go in September this year. I thank god that I decided not to go this year. I was in the US at this time 3 years ago. I may not have gone to NY, but I might have been in Washington as one of my NFL teams is the Redskins. And as a travller, you could be on one of those planes. It's just too freaky to think about.

My condononces go out to anyone on the forums, at OWI, or in the US/world that may have family and friends affected directly by this. I hope PinkHaired is safe also, being the only forum member we know of in that city.

Why would someone want to kill innocent people like that.I really feel for the families of those unfortunent people.

And if you think that THAT is bad,once we catch this guy,The economy is going to go right down and people will lose business's.This is bad.But not as bad as the fact that what happend at Kabul the possibilities are that you guys will go to war wit them and then there are more possibilities that we might have World War 3 where more innocent people will get killed or lose someone.Infact if WW3 comes out,Almost everyone will DIE.And that ain't no lie.

Well, keep it in mind that Nostrodamis, or however you spell his name, said that the world would end in 1999. On the day he said the word would end, nothing much happend.

I am really scared of that. I hope it's just a terrorist group behind it rather than a country. If it's a country it will be a war, but if it's a group it would be unlikely.

I really don't want to be living when a war is happening... it is too scary to even think about. If such a thing had to happen, I would rather it happen after I have died. It is a scary thought that our generation has in the back of their minds.

as I was chatting with DH, BD, and Mel about this I had its cold chill that didn't go away for 5 mins at least! *shudders* I pray there is no war...cause that would mean I would end up in the thick of it...(being military an' all) *shudders again* I'll repeat what I said before...I hope those @#@$^@* bastards that did this burn in hell!
Two of my younger brothers friends were on one of those planes! This has directly effected me and my family! *sparks fly from her mane* ooooo if only...if only...i could rip those @%@$^@ to shreds personnally!

I don't know if it's true... but someone at work here just heard a report that a semi-trailer was stopped on the Washington Bridge going full speed packed full of explosives.

Everyone else: No, there will not be a world war 3. Bush will probably just send in the military to kill the guy behind it. Everything will be alright, no need to freak out. All that will happen is that all air ports will have more security from now on.

Here's a thought. Couldn't a plane full of people beat two terrorists to death? I know they were frightened, but it wouldn't they eventually fight back? Perhaps there's something we don't know.

I hope Pinkhaired is all right. I can't imagine the forums without pinkhaired.

I have an ex-girlfriend that lives in NY. I don't think she was in that city though.

Man, a lot of people you guys know live in the plane crashing areas...or were in one of the planes...

And man I hate war! I hope a war doesn't break out either, I'd never wanna live during a World War 3!
You know, I've seen reanactments and movies about World Wars 1 & 2 and SO many people died. But, I think, with all the nuclear missiles and junk...the public won't be harmed if one is launched at us. Plus, we be a lot more advanced then we were however many years ago World War 1 & 2 was...

So, I'm not saying I wouldn't care if there was a war...cause I WOULD! I really really would...
