It'll be probably out around 2017. It's not a joke. Game development just takes a long time.
2017 only if you're optimistic. Probably mid-late 2018.

We don't really know when they started and if the dev team changed mid-production

It's working.

With an abundance of small issues with menus, graphics and sound, but it's working.
It also lacks resolution options (at least for now), the older port had those.

I'll gather all the info about problems and post in in the bug reports. Wondering if they'll do anything about that.

I tried it and it actually works on my 7+ years old laptop. It runs smoothly, plays great and looks good.

Aside from a few buggy camera angels and the camera spinning on it's own from time to time, It's been working fine for me. They did a really great job improving the port.

What resolution does it play at, then?
In-game seems to be your native resolution. Hopefully we'll get the ability to change it soon.

They are adding more and more of the HD assets, which is a very welcome surprise. It seems we are getting Munch HD piece by piece.

I've finally been able to get through the opening, and I've made it past where I got up to back in the XBox version whenever I played it - I literally can't remember. Controlling Fuzzle's as Munch sounds like some kind of jew's harp convention. It'd been so many years since I'd heard the boings.

There's not much to say that hasn't been said over the years. It has a certain charm, and some of the gameplay is fun. Just coming in to the Sloghuts it feels like plot for the sake of game though. What was up with the fluoride tanks level? They just decided to go with some really hamfisted political commentary rather than actually giving it a meaningful in-universe role? Ugh.

You can revamp Run to shift and walk to Ctrl. It's still be not very good, but better than scrollwheel. I hope they'll change that. It's a leftover from mobile ports, I believe
