I got a few films that I've been wanting to see for ages now; (Taken and The Dark Knight Rises), We are also going to see The Hobbit as an extra prezzie.

Also got LOADS OF MONEY!

Now I'm almost saved enough for a new PC

This Christmas, I sent an angry e-mail using all the five-syllable words I could to Currys for charging me almost £200 on a duff stereo. I'm annoyed I have to take it back. I wouldn't mind, but it was for my eldest nephew, who is a little bit down-hearted, because he thought he was going to hear his new CDs on a player that could articulate bass-parts well.

I'm also a little bit down-hearted, truth be told. I very rarely spend that amount of money on that sort of thing, and whenever I do, it's fucked for whatever reason, so I come here and write slightly maudlin complaints about it.

I snagged over $80 of gift cards and an additional $30 in solid cash from my family. There was some other thoughtful stuff in there, too. Nothing felt too generic or rushed, which felt awful because of the lack of thought that went into our gifts to everyone. I'm ok with my mum spending next to no money, but most of the things we gave out just had no soul in them.

I did have lots of fun at lunch with my mum's side of the family. No offense to my dad's relatives, but they're just not as relaxed and funny.

We finished the day with a Skype call to my brother's family in England. My nephew has now started school and is as cute as ever. He was showing us his Power Ranger toys, his huge box of Lego, his new train set pieces and his new dinosaur DVDs. It's really nice being able to be part of his life from so far away. Hopefully they'll be able to move out here soon.

Now I'm just relaxing with a cup of tea and blasting Age of Adz, which is the best way to end the day as far as I'm concerned.

That's not really a present, but they told me on Christmas Day, so it's vaguely relevant.

I got a few games (Chrono Trigger, Pokemon White 2, Super Meat Boy Ultra Edition), quite a few DVD boxsets like King of the Hill and assorted DVDs like TDKR! Other than that some nice clothes and sweets, I'm well chuffed.

So far I've gotten season 3 of Seinfeld, season 2 of The Simpsons, bunch of CD's, issue 1 of The Walking Dead (which is already better than the show IMO), a t-shirt and a nice new pair of headphones.

Got some fantastic hand-crafted leather bound journals from my mum, a proper razor with four interchangeable heads so I can trim my 'tache properly now, some doodads and the promise of £60. It's been a lovely Christmas so far and the dinner was amazing. It's one of the only days of the year we all come together as a family and do stuff. =D

To the graphics tablet people, get a Wacom Intuos 4 or 5, I have an Intuos 4 and it's the greatest thing ever. Intuos 5 is just the same as the 4 with touch buttons instead of mechanical ones.

I don't even have MIDI keyboard so you have one leg up on me, there.
And my brother was really happy with the present he got from me. I never leave the house, so i did this for him, he really liked it. Note: My 26 year old brother, who is the vocalist in a deathcore band, loves Twilight (the film).

And I did this for my sister.

I guess I could probably do with a MIDI keyboard.

Hmm, basically. But we make all the sounds from scratch in synths. Usually adding a modulation to get the wubs. I guess farting into a Mic could also work.

Throw in some flange and phaser effects and you've got dubstep.
