Let's not turn this into a discussion about the ethics of pirating. Every single one of us is a hypocrite on this issue in some way or another.

this.
i did a lot of usual stupid shit as a kid. the only thing i can remember doing that others may interpret as 'bad' was when i was a teenager. me and some mates decided to rob a local petrol station. fuck knows why, i think it was because we wanted to 'prove ourselves' to ourselves, if that makes sense. plus all the fucking hormones. one of us had a balaclava and the rest of us just stuck bags over our heads with eye and mouth holes. plain clothes, no jewelry like ear rings and shit, and snow gloves.
three of us walked in late at night with planks of wood and any old shit we could find, and then just stood in there like fucking idiots, not saying a word. that was the moment when we realized we hadn't planned this far ahead and didn't know what to do once we were in there, we'd just spent all our time making the balaclavas and finding old winter gloves. the bloke on the till actually said to us, calm as anything, "can i help you?" which sort of made light of the whole situation. that made us snap back to reality, so we shouted a bit, took some fucking
crisps and left. there was no car chase because we didn't have a car, and there wasn't even an alarm because we were so un-terrifying. nothing became of it. we were just shit. i laugh about it now, but it could have turned out a lot differently.
that is what happens when teenage boys try to be creative. Lichfield is fucking boring.
