You have a very strange and expensive hobby for a fourteen year old.

That is all.

It's the time difference between each purchase that balances out the expenses. I usually have to wait a few months at least before I can buy another for roughly the same price.

And I probably wouldn't collect them had I not grown up with a 98 machine and a 98 laptop until 2008. Still in the process of finding a reasonable HDD for the laptop though. :/

So how exactly does a fourteen year old fund his very strange and expensive hobby? I'd be very impressed if you earned it through your hobby.

Nate, because I've been out of the loop for a couple of years, I'm curious how PCs have changed from a component standpoint which is making them challenging to build.
Only because (a) I don't really know what the hell I'm doing and (b) I'm anal about researching components and finding high quality at low price.

I know people in my area through people who work in my family, if they know someone who has a broken laptop or desktop and don't want to pay loads to fix it, they tell them that I'll do it for a decent price. It doesn't bother me too much because I like fixing stuff. Although sometimes it's simply restoring their computer if it's been infected with some form of ransomware or rouge. If that's the case I'll remove it for barely anything since they're piss easy to remove.
