That's because the picture is just their model. The guns have their own model seperately I think. At least they did in SW.

Looking good. I still think Munch needs more than just a graphical update, though.

I wonder if some of these models will also be used for Abe HD?

Maybe, that would save them time wouldn't it. They then wouldn't have to remake them.

I would prefer it if they did optimize the graphics for the new games for the engine they are using, not what is essentially a reskin of an existing model.

I still like the models. Except the scrab, doesn't look much different apart from the colour.

The teeth are sharper/there, and all angles are a lot smoother, especially on the leg muscles.

The reason the scrab looks the way it is is because the level they're in hAve a bunch of them on screen. So my theory is a deadrising was pulled where the models aren't that impressive to maintain performance.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the big bro? His squid head seems seperated from his body

That's right, but look at the original... it's a bad pose for making comparision screens imo

Yeah but, this is going to be on stuff like PS3, something that can handle quite a lot. If the scrabs slowed the performance, they would probably decrease the number of scrabs or find another way.

Like I said, just a theory! Besides, if some average joe was playing the game, I don't think he'd care to check how good the scrab model was in the first place.

I would walk up to it and take a close look to make sure it was detailed enough.

Good point.
I never cared much about how they looked in the original either, but they've already announced the HDness of it. So everyone who plays it will look at the models for about 5 minutes and then turn it off. Unless they've improved the gameplay and changed it a little.

I think JAW can get away with minor tweaks on the SW models because they were more up to snuff. MO needs to have it's models completely rebuilt, or at the very least significantly reshaped.

I think it was some of the positions in the models were shot in, like the Big Bro Slig.

I always thought Munch looked pretty good in game, if you looked closely that is. But as we all know your always zoomed out and if you ask me the further you go into the game, the further it zooms out. So he just looks deranged. I also didn't like how their mouths didn't move to their words.

I must admit i'm glad they're giving Munch another chance to become something that's at least *Not as good as Abe but still good* but if your gonna do it, do it right!
PLEASE!
If you let Munch down again...I might do something crazy.

I hope they fix the creepy, wall-eyed stare the Munch and Abe models had. *shudders*
And environments with vegetation that looked less like they were sprayed with tennis ball flocking.
