Dude I read some old threads about people trying to use the engine and saying it's impossible. Well they still managed to do it. Lookslike someone has no life,

Dude super mario world engine is much easier to use than ALIVE. Meaning OWI doesn't care about the fans so much that the fans actually put the time in to make the ALIVE engine usable.

Just because it's "much easier" to use it doesn't mean time wasn't spent putting work into making it usable. I don't understand that you can measure a company's affection for its fans by how much fans do to edit an existing game. I just don't think that works at all. A lot of games are hacked, even if the company who made them is still active.

The fanbase is tiny (so don't expect the amount of fanmade levels you get from LBP) and supposedly it's impossible to use the ALIVE engine. People still managed to find away to use it. Looks like someone is REALLY desperate for new Oddworld here.
